Who's keen?!

The manual WRX is coming back in Japan 🔵
Subaru will reveal it in November, and it gets the heavy-duty TY85 six-speed from the old WRX STI. This time it's a regular model you can order, so no 600-car lottery.
No power or price yet. Would you take it without the STI badge?

Ceramic coating and paint protection film are often treated as competing versions of the same product. They are not.

PPF provides a substantially thicker physical barrier against suitable stone impacts, road debris and minor abrasions.

Ceramic coating creates a much thinner protective surface that makes dirt and environmental contamination easier to remove while helping preserve a properly prepared painted finish.

Recent vehicles in our workshop demonstrate the difference clearly.

The black Lexus 500h received paint preparation followed by OPTiX FMJ ceramic coating to improve ongoing maintenance, slickness and protection from normal environmental contamination.

David’s Toyota bZ Tourer received a matte PPF conversion. Its badges and door handles were removed so the film could be fitted more cleanly around the edges and openings before the components were refitted.

The matte film changed the Toyota’s appearance while providing physical protection for the factory paint underneath—something ceramic coating cannot provide.

The practical choice is straightforward:

• Choose ceramic coating for easier cleaning, strong water behaviour and protection from environmental contamination.
• Choose PPF when stone-chip and physical-impact protection are the priorities.
• Choose both when you want physical protection in vulnerable areas combined with easier maintenance across the vehicle.

We've evolved from researching classic cars and vehicles for creating our book series (available through Amazon as 'print on demand') into the worlds of graphic art. The core artwork we've made is initially sketched out as a line drawing, then scanned into a computer. From here the overall 'theme' i...

AND THAT’S A WRAP ON REXPO 2026!

2026 done and dusted! What a day bringing the WA Subaru community together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, displayed their rides and supported the event. To our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, food trucks and everyone who got behind REXPO, thank you for helping make this year happen. We couldn’t do it without you!

Other than the wind that wanted to take us all to Kansas, the weather held out (and some of you may have even caught a bit of sun! ).

The cars, the community and the good vibes are what REXPO is all about, and we loved seeing everyone come together.

We’ll do our best to get some photos together to share with you all. In the meantime, keep tagging in your photos and videos, and don’t forget to collaborate with us so we can share your REXPO moments too!

We’re always looking for ways to improve, so we welcome your feedback! Send us a DM and let us know what you thought. We’ll keep listening, learning and working to make each year even better.

Thanks for coming out and being part of the REXPO story.
