I work as a Coach for a living so I kinda have to show up 😆 But I am here to tell you there are days when I am exhausted, and the thought of exercising and motivating others is a REAL struggle! (Sorry guys and girls).
For the most part I know once I am at work I am ready to push my clients and help them reach their goals. What does this mean for me you ask....?
I jumped on the scales for the first time in ages the other day. I was not happy at the extra 2-3kgs staring back at me, honestly I was totally bummed but the scales do not tell me how much stronger I have been feeling.
Sometimes I find I just need a few days to a coupe of weeks of not stressing about working out and just 'going with the flow' so to speak. As I said, yes the scales had gone up, but it did not show my strength gains or squat depth!!!
When I get into this mini rut I prefer slower workouts, I may take a walk or do some pilates instead of a strength workout or HIIT.
It’s hard to look at images online and on social media and not think, I want to look like that. Comparing ourselves can be a set up for failure and may set unrealistic goals and a vicious cycle begins.
We all work bloody hard and it is normal to sometimes go honesltly "I CBF". The key is to turn this negative into a positive. Do something different, make a plan to get back into a rhythm when you are truly ready!
You will start to feel more motivated again. If you need some tips, hit up your coach or flick me a DM!
Big love ❤💙
