Since the break from teaching classes, I have not practiced much myself. Boy, my body felt the break, that is for sure!
This week I have explored Essentrics TV and realised how much conditioning I have lost. I love this modality and how much it is challenging yet easy.
I want to share with you how Essentrics works compared to strength training that I have been doing consistently for a few months.
One may say, 'but how can you feel out of shape when you lift weights.' My answer is - Essentrics works not only the superficial muscles such as the biceps, triceps, traps, quads, hamstrings, deltoids, pectorals, etc. But specifically, it works the intricate deeper muscles, the muscles surrounding the joints, the rotator cuff (shoulder), the hips, the spinal muscles and much more. These deeper muscles are often overlooked and undervalued. Essentrics is so powerful because it includes all muscles in every workout.
Essentrics is a beautiful balance between challenging your strength, mobility and flexibility and the ease of flow, movement and grace.
It's safe to say that the break I have had from teaching and practising this modality has given me a hunger to express it to people more.
