Piercy Racing Team

Piercy Racing Team This is the page for Piercy Racing Team which consists of Kiera Mann-Piercy and Hugh Piercy.

They race in a Pro Buggy which has a 4.5L VH41 Nissan V8 motor in it and a TTI sequential gearbox. Driver Hugh Piercy has been dealing with racecars for years, as he used to be in a service crew in NZ before moving to WA in 1987. When moving to Perth, he participated in both Rally and Off Road and since has built 3 cars. 2 Mazda RX5's and a 4wd Prototype buggy. Driver Kiera Mann-Piercy started dri

ving in 2012, after navigating for hugh for the past 5 years. Kiera was accepted into the 2012 AMSF driver development program that went for a week at the AIS. It consisted of fitness training, multiple mental tests and speeches by the AIS trainers. The team have won 2 state championships, one in 2009 and one in 2012 which is a big achievement for the team after a big year, which includes a driver change. In 2013, Kiera's second year as a driver, the team managed a second in class for the championship after several mishaps throughout the year including a roll over at Hyden and hitting a fence at Mogumber.

It has certainly been a long year. This time last year the Buggy looked bare, no spoiler and stubby. Start of 2016 we raced Perenjori with a new and improved PRT spec buggy, which unfortunately didn't end too well. It has been a long year spent in the shed and fingers crossed we get to race in 2017.
