Part two. Gordon shows the setup and the problem it actually solves. 🛰️

He's had a Starlink Mini on his car for over 12 months. The old way meant that if he wanted to turn it on while he was driving, he had to find somewhere safe to pull over, get out, open up the canopy and physically plug it in. Then remember to unplug it again afterwards.

Now it's a button press from the driver's seat.

The kit is two parts: the converter that steps 12V from the battery up to what the dish needs, and the remote module that lets you switch it on and off. The plugs connect straight into each other so the install is about as simple as it gets.

Press the button, hear the click, dish is on. Press it again when you're done and it stops drawing from the battery entirely.

We sent Gordon a Starlink Mini 12V power supply with remote and asked him to put it through its paces. Here's his first look. 📦

His problem is one we hear constantly. He runs a 12V Starlink Mini in his ute, and every single time he uses it he's got to plug it in and unplug it again. And when he forgets to unplug it, which he admits happens often, it quietly drains the ute battery.

That's exactly what the remote solves. Two remotes in the kit, so you can keep one in the vehicle and one wherever you actually are. Turn the dish on and off without touching a plug.

12V input, 30V output. Made specifically for the Starlink Mini. Worth noting the Mini and Gen 3 units are not interchangeable, so make sure you grab the right one for your dish.

Most caravanners with Starlink are still powering it through an inverter, which means unnecessary power drain, extra gear humming away, and more points of failure when you're somewhere remote.

No more running an inverter just to step your 12V up to 240V and back down again. This converts directly to the 57V your Gen 3 dish needs, cleanly and efficiently.

So you've filled the bladder. Now what? 💧

This is how we transfer water from the bladder straight into the caravan tanks using a Fleximake 12V pump. Clip it on, switch it on, done. No lifting, no sloshing, no awkward pouring from a jerry can.

At 6 litres per minute it moves water quickly and quietly, and the whole setup packs away in minutes when you're done.

Space in a caravan is precious. Every item needs to earn its spot. 🏕️
