Our Sporting Director has spent the past two weeks attending a number of Annual General Meetings (AGMs) for football associations with which our UK full-time academy programme is affiliated.

The final AGM was held on Tuesday evening at the headquarters of the Shropshire Football Association, marking the last engagement before Mel returns to Australia to prepare the next cohort of players for their departure to the UK.

With the club set to enter the Senior Men’s Football Pyramid for the 2026 / 27 UK football season, this AGM included the formal ratification of the club’s acceptance into the senior football structure in England — another significant milestone in the club’s continued growth and development.

Attention now turns back to Australia and Oceania, where a series of meetings and strategic discussions are planned as the club continues to strengthen its football pathway, expand its network of competition structures, and create further opportunities for players progressing from full-time junior football into the senior game.

Exciting times ahead as we continue building a genuine football pathway for our players.

🔥 International Academy Player Signing Announcement – Oliver Ford 🔥

We are excited to welcome Oliver Ford to the UK International Academy programme.

Oliver began his football journey at just nine years of age when he was selected to play in the Regional Division for Northland FC in New Zealand—an early achievement that highlighted his natural talent and passion for the game.

Since then, he has continued to develop his skills and understanding of football, establishing himself as a dynamic and exciting left winger. Known for his pace, attacking mindset, and ability to create opportunities in the final third, Oliver consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to improving every aspect of his game.

At the age of 16, Oliver took the next step in his football development by moving to Australia and joining Sunshine Coast FC Fire Full-Time Academy, where he continues to challenge himself in a highly competitive environment. With a strong foundation and a determination to keep progressing, Oliver is focused on reaching his full potential and making a positive impact both on and off the field.

Sunshine Coast FC UK International Academy is delighted to confirm the signing of Aidan Robinson for the 2026 / 2027 UK International Academy Season. 🇬🇧⚽

Aidan is a passionate young footballer who began his football journey at just six years of age with Coolum Crusaders. His dedication to the game saw him join the Sunshine Coast FC Full-Time Academy at the age of 12, where he has continued to develop his technical ability, tactical game understanding, and overall performance within a high-performance environment.

Aidan has also proudly represented the Sunshine Coast at the Queensland Schools State Championships, demonstrating both his ability and commitment to the game.

A driven and ambitious young player, Aidan brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a genuine desire to improve every day. These qualities have made him an excellent addition to our UK International Academy programme.

We are excited to support Aidan on the next stage of his football journey and look forward to seeing his continued growth both on and off the pitch.

Zavier is an exciting and versatile young player from Western Australia who has quickly established himself as one of the top emerging talents in the South West region.

A dominant and dynamic player, Zavier is capable of influencing matches.

Lyle is a highly dedicated and driven 16-year-old footballer whose passion for the game began at just 3 years of age. From countless hours in the backyard to progressing through pathways including Doncaster Rovers and most recently the Sunshine Coast FC Full-Time Academy programme at Peregian Beach College, Lyle has continued to show outstanding commitment to his development.

Primarily operating as a defensive midfielder, Lyle’s versatility and willingness to learn have allowed him to gain experience across multiple positions on the pitch. His strong work ethic, professionalism and commitment to improving both on and off the field make him an exciting addition to the programme.

Sunshine Coast FC UK International Football Academy are delighted to announce the signing of Luke Robinson for the 2026 / 2027 season. 🔥⚽

Luke is a highly driven 15-year-old British / Australian footballer who has consistently competed above his age group within elite pathways in Western Australia.

A composed and intelligent full back comfortable on both the right and left side, Luke is recognised for his pace, strong defensive ability, leadership qualities and confidence in possession. His ability to read the game and contribute in transition make him an exciting addition to the programme.

Luke progressed through the Perth Red Star NPL pathway, earning special dispensation to play up two age groups from the age of 11. He captained Perth Red Star during their 2024 title-winning season and was awarded Player of the Year.

Luke has also gained valuable exposure to the professional academy environment in the UK following identification by a Tier 1 academy during an Australian tour.

We look forward to supporting Luke’s continued development as he joins the Sunshine Coast FC UK Full-Time Academy ahead of his return to the UK in 2026.
