2026 Penrith Open

The 2026 Penrith Open was played on Saturday with a solid 237 players competing in glorious conditions. The course was presented in sensational fashion for good golf to be played.

Congratulations to Harrison Glenday of the Australian GC taking this years Sutherland Cup with an impressive 3 under par 69 to win by 2 shots from Dunheved member and Penrith regular John Fearnley on 71. In third spot a further shot back was Hayden Goodwin from Lakeside Camden on 72 on a count back from Penrith’s own up and coming junior Hunter McMillan in 4th and Muirfield’s Joshua Leggo in 5th. Well done all.

The Watkins Bowls was taken out by Jaxon Lownds off 18 with a nett 64 from Lachlan Baker 3 shot back off 16 with a nett 67. Congratulations Jaxon on a great effort.

Penrith Open

Next Saturday 19 September 26 is the 2026 Penrith Open.

This is a Vardon event open to amateur players with a GA Handicap of 5.6 or better. Please see [Entry Form] here.

Players will be playing for The Sutherland Cup (Scratch) and the Watkins Bowl (Nett). There is prize money for scratch and nett down to 5th place and NTP on all par 3’s, together with longest drive for each grade on 9.

The time sheet opens this Friday at the normal times.
