Client Mike Hartas has a goal of a 400kg total in the big 3, and one month into that goal - after NEVER having deadlifted, benched with intention, or squatted confidently - we’re only ~15kg away from meeting that total.

What makes it possible? (From my perspective, and after speaking with Mike about this topic).

1. Having a coach that has experienced the climb, and refined things to a great degree

2. Adaptive fine-tuning of every movement and identifying less efficient mechanics in real-time before it becomes problematic or habitual (AKA: PATIENCE IN PRACTICE!)

3. An insatiable work ethic and willingness to just get in and try

Any more that make the top 5, Mike? Let everyone know in the comments!

If you knew what Mike’s body has been through, you’d be calling bullsh*t on all of this.

Instead, and I’m telling you; allow Mike to be an example of what’s possible. Not merely by being the hardest worker in the room, but by trusting the process & the guidance received.

Have a goal? Chances are, it’s probably obtainable. My clients remind me of this every day, and I’m ever so grateful for that, and for them.

Sure, there are exceptions… OR, do the rules and approaches simply need to change?

A bit about me;

A mere glimpse at some snippets of the journey thus far. I don’t know how people do these posts & cover SO much ground. Nonetheless, I hope it’s of some background to the perception you gather of the man behind the barbell!

The most important parts are never captured. And they’re the ones best shared in the presence of one another.

If you have any questions about me as a coach or how I came to be who/what/how I am today, connect with me & we’ll have a conversation!

Cheers

Grateful.

The barbell demands the same amount of respect no matter the day, no matter the time. So I choose to be as ready as humanly possible every time I enter those doors.

If you want to embody that same approach, send me a message. I’d love to help.

Remember when posting a cool pic on its own was enough?

I was told that my reels were too long, and that 8 secs is the sweet spot. Man, I’ve got some adapting to do.
Alas, adapt I shall - to bring (mostly) very intentional content to those looking for positivity & guidance on their journey to betterment in all aspects of life.

Some of my own training, some extracurricular stuff, some coaching, some fam, paired with some throwback THPS soundtrack hits. (But mostly original/royalty-free audio so the gym page can re-share. Sorry in advance).

Sound good? Good.

Have a great day! Train hard. Love hard.

You don’t need a fancy pulley system to pump up your forearms - the 20kg barbell in your gym will do the trick! Try it… you’ll see. I find 80 reps total to be the sweet spot for a few sets. 40 reps aside for flexion, 40 reps aside for extension. GO!

Most days are about strength & size, whereas some are for peace of mind. That’s the difference between a workout and a training session. Both have their place, my friends!

LMK if you want the sets & reps for this session and I’ll send them to you! 💪
