🏀PREMIERS - U12 Tigers🏀

🏆U12 A GRADE PREMIERS!!! 🏆
WHAT. A. FINISH!
After a tough and competitive A Grade season, the boys saved their best basketball for when it mattered most!
Going into the final round, we had to win to keep our finals hopes alive. A few upsets then set up a semi-final against Balnarring — the only team we hadn’t beaten all season! With illness hitting the team, the boys had to dig deep, but they refused to give in. They fought hard, got the win and booked their spot in the Grand Final against Flinders!
We knew it would be a battle, and the boys came out firing! They jumped to an early 10–0 lead and took a 3-point lead into half-time. We stretched that to 7, but with just 8 minutes to go, it was a 2-point game!
This is where the boys showed incredible determination. They worked together, moved the ball brilliantly, applied huge defensive pressure and never let Flinders take the lead.
Final score: Tigers 37 – Flinders 29! 🏆
I couldn't be prouder of the way these boys fought for each other and stayed composed when the pressure was on. They played as a team, believed in each other and earned every bit of that win!
This victory was made even more special as we said goodbye to Nash and Olly after 8 seasons with the Tigers. We are going to miss them both and wish them all the best for their basketball journey ahead.
And what a way for Olly to finish — Grand Final win AND MVP! 🏆👏
Congratulations, boys! U12 A Grade Premiers! You have done yourselves, your families and your club incredibly proud. I couldn't be prouder of you all!

🏀PREMIERS - U12 Gems🏀

Today's game against Balnarring Strom - Rose was never going to be easy. In our previous two match ups we had only won by 5 points and 1 point. They are tall, fast, and move the ball well.

But our Gems came to play. Outsized, and down a player, this game was going to come down to effort, calm heads and team work.

Every girl stepped up. Whether they added points on the board, fought for rebounds, or had arms in passing lanes, they stayed together and were up 13-9 at half time. The second half was like a hard fought tug-of-war. Both teams in foul trouble, both teams going to the line for bonus shots; the game was the epitome of "tough not rough" and we found ourselves down by 2 with 2 minutes to go. Clutch free throws from both teams sent the game down to the wire, but when the final siren went the Gems had won by ONE POINT!

Such an exciting moment for these girls as most have played together for 9 seasons and this was their first Grand Final win!
There were many squeals, happy tears and jumps for joy (and that was just the parents in the stands!)!
Congrats to my little Gems. So proud of you all!

🏀PREMIERS - U10 Wizards🏀

Today we came up against Southern Suns Warriors, who hadn’t lost a game all season, so we knew we were going to have to be switched on from the start.

We had a plan going into today and the boys absolutely delivered. I honestly think it was the best we have played all season, not just with the basketball but in the way we played as a team. They used each other, backed each other up, worked hard on the boards and, when we got the ball, were quick in offence and made smart decisions.

It was a tough game and Southern Suns kept coming at us, but the boys didn’t panic. They stayed composed, kept working for each other and stuck to what we wanted to do. Everyone played their part, no one tried to do it all themselves and they trusted their teammates right until the end.

Our defensive pressure was great, we were strong on the rebounds and, when we had opportunities to run, we took them. Even when we made mistakes, the boys just got on with the next play and kept fighting.

We came away with a 46–40 win.

Couldn’t be more proud of these boys. Not just for what they did today, but for the way they’ve grown over the whole season. They’ve listened, worked hard, improved and really started to understand how good they can be when they play together.

To beat an undefeated team in the Grand Final is something the boys should be proud of. They earned this!

🏀PREMIERS - U10 Thunder🏀

What a way to finish our very first Under 10s season! 💙

Pearcedale Thunder took on the very strong Phoenix Rain in an incredibly close Grand Final. Down by 4 points at half time, our Thunder boys and girls dug deep and came out firing in the second half to end up taking the win by 10 points!! 🔥

A huge effort from every single player, with everyone playing their role and contributing when it mattered most. The defending was amazing, the shooting was seriously impressive and the determination from start to finish was something to be proud of.

What an incredible season for this group and what an incredible way to finish it! 🏆💙
