New round of Play On! Vouchers are out now.

📣 When is the best time to secure your new Play On! Sports Voucher?

Applications for Play On! Sports Vouchers will open on 27 July, with up to $200 available to help Queensland kids aged from 5-17 participate in sport.

There will be two opportunities to apply this financial year.

If you’re planning ahead for summer sport, it’s best to apply this round. If your focus is on winter sports like netball or football, you may prefer to wait for the round later this financial year.

To help make your application quick and easy, log in to your Enquire account before 27 July and check your details are up to date. ✅

U7 and U9 weigh-in will take place from 8:00 am - 8:30 am
U11 weigh-in will take place from 10:00 am - 10:30 am
Competition Start Times
U7 and U9 divisions will start at 9:00 am.
U11 will start no earlier than 11:00 am.

Judo Queensland is thrilled to host 7-time World Champion Takayuki Yokoyama from Setsunan University for an incredible one-day training event.

Whether you are looking to refine your technique or preparing for your upcoming Dan-grading in November (Shodan, Nidan, or Sandan), this seminar is highly beneficial and strongly recommended

Date: Saturday, 29th August
Time: 9 AM – 3 PM
Location: Shin Gi Tai (U1, 65 Boyland Ave, Coopers Plains)
Cost: $25 (payable on the day)

Important Requirements:
Who: Open to all judoka aged U13 and up!
Attire: All participants must wear a white judo gi (please note, blue judo gis are strictly not permitted).

🥋 Holiday Break & Mat Homework! 🥋

Scenic Rim Judo is officially taking a break over the school holidays. Enjoy the rest, but don't get too comfortable—we want everyone sharp and ready when we return!

🗓️ We will be back on the mats on Monday, 13/07/2026.

🏡 Your Holiday Homework:
Keep your fitness up and your muscle memory sharp while the dojo is closed:
Strength: Push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
Technique: Practice your uchi-komi (repeated turning-in practice) to keep those entries clean.

If you can't stay off the mats for two weeks, check out the Judo Queensland website’s Club Finder. There are great clubs nearby in Ipswich and Brisbane that might still be running holiday sessions.
