🏐 PFNC NETBALL – COACHING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST 2027 🏐

Paynesville Football Netball Club (PFNC) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and enthusiastic coaches and assistant coaches to join our Netball Program for Season 2027 and beyond.

Affiliated with the East Gippsland Football Netball League, PFNC is looking for people who are passionate about netball, player development and creating a strong, positive and connected club culture.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

🔹 U13 Netball – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 U15 Netball – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 U17 Netball – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 D Grade – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 C Grade – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 B Grade – Head & Assistant Coaches
🔹 A Grade – Head & Assistant Coaches

We welcome applications from experienced coaches as well as those looking to take the next step in their coaching journey.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO:

• Have strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Can create a positive, inclusive and accountable team environment
• Are passionate about developing players both individually and collectively
• Can support players at different stages of their netball development
• Understand the importance of creating a strong pathway from junior netball through to senior competition
• Can work collaboratively with fellow coaches, netball staff, players and the PFNC Committee
• Are committed to supporting a consistent coaching philosophy across the PFNC Netball Program
• Are committed to upholding PFNC’s values, policies, standards and expectations
• Want to contribute to the continued growth and future direction of our netball program and the club

YOUR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST SHOULD INCLUDE:

• The team/group you are most interested in coaching
• Whether you are applying for a Head Coach or Assistant Coach position
• Previous relevant coaching and/or netball experience
• A current coaching résumé
• Contact details for two referees

Successful applicants will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check and a minimum Foundation Coaching Accreditation, or commit to obtaining the required accreditation at the earliest opportunity.

PFNC can assist successful applicants through the accreditation process where required.

All expressions of interest will be treated strictly confidentially.

💙 ROUND 16 | THAT’S A WRAP ON 2026 💙

Yesterday brought the curtain down on our 2026 home-and-away season.

While we won’t feature in finals this year, there is still plenty to be proud of.

Across football and netball, the improvement in competitiveness has been clear. We’ve challenged teams harder, stayed in contests longer, lifted standards and created moments that show exactly where this club is heading.

One of the best examples came from our Under 13 netballers.

After not registering a win in their debut season last year, this group finished 2026 with an incredible five wins. That is a huge step forward and a credit to the players, coaches and families who have backed them all season. 👏💙

But beyond wins and losses, one of the things we’re most proud of is the connection across our club.

Seeing our Under 13 netballers mixing with our senior footballers, juniors supporting seniors, seniors supporting juniors, families around the rooms and everyone genuinely invested in one another - that’s what makes this place special.

Every grade matters.

Every person matters.

And when the whole club feels connected, we know we’re moving in the right direction.

Thank you to every player, coach, volunteer, family member and supporter who contributed to 2026.

We’re proud of what we achieved.

And we’re already hungry for more.

Today is our last game of the season, and I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of our club and everyone who is part of it. 💙🤍

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love this club. It’s more than just football and netball to me — it’s the people, the friendships, the mateship, the families and the community that make Paynesville what it is.

Every single week, so many people work incredibly hard behind the scenes just so our teams can take the court and the field. From our coaches, players and trainers to our committee, volunteers, canteen and bar workers, timekeepers, scorers, water carriers and supporters — there are so many people who give their time because they love this club.

So today, I want us to forget about everything else and celebrate what we have.

Celebrate our mates.
Celebrate our friendships.
Celebrate our teams.
Celebrate our volunteers.
Celebrate our families and supporters.
Celebrate our community.
And most importantly, celebrate our club.

Results matter, but clubs are built on so much more than a scoreboard. They are built on people turning up for each other, standing together through the good times and the hard ones, having a laugh, sharing a drink, lending a hand and being proud to wear the blue and white.

So for our final game of 2026, let’s make it a great one. Play for the person beside you, enjoy every moment, support every team and when the final siren sounds, let’s come together and celebrate the season we have shared.

I love this club with everything I have, and I am so grateful for every person who continues to give their time, their heart and their energy to make it what it is.

Apparently keeping milestones quiet runs in the family… 😏

Just like Mitch, Lachie also thought he might sneak his 200th game through without too much fuss.

Nice try.

You don’t reach 200 games for the Mighty Gulls without earning a little recognition.

Two hundred games represents years of commitment, loyalty, sacrifice and plenty of Saturdays pulling on the blue and white.

And for the Willmott family to now have two brothers reaching the 200-game milestone is something pretty special.

Lachie, congratulations on an enormous achievement and thank you for everything you’ve given to the club along the way.

You might have tried to keep it under the radar…

But 200 games deserves to be celebrated. 💙

🔥💙 GAME DAY | FINAL ROUND 💙🔥

This is it.

The final home-and-away game day of 2026 - and we’re finishing it where we love it most, at home.

Today we welcome Lindenow to AJ Freeman Reserve for one last huge Saturday of football and netball.

There’s plenty to celebrate.

Plenty to be proud of.

And still plenty we want to show.

🥹 A special moment at 12:45pm as our U9s take on Lindenow in an exhibition match - our youngest Gulls getting their chance to wear the colours and take centre stage.

💙 Willmott’s celebrating 200 games.

🏉 And across every grade, we’ve got one final opportunity to compete hard, back each other and finish the season with the energy this club wants to carry forward.

So get down to AJ Freeman Reserve.
