Paterson River RLFC is now seeking Expressions of Interest for our Men’s Coach for the 2027 season.

As we look ahead to another year for The River, we’re looking for someone who brings strong leadership, footy knowledge and a genuine commitment to our players and club.

We’re a proud, community-based club built on respect, mateship and good sportsmanship, and we’re looking for a coach who shares those values and is keen to help build on what we’ve achieved.

Whether you’re an experienced coach or someone ready to take the next step into coaching, we’d love to hear from you.

What an unreal comeback from the boys! 💙🤍 Couldn’t be prouder of every single bloke who pulled on the River jersey and fought right until the end.

And as a whole, the day couldn’t have gone much better. Old Boys Day, Sponsors Day and bringing footy back to Vacy Sportsground — now proudly known as Keith & Lesley Miles Oval. 🏉

A special day for the club, our old boys, sponsors, supporters and the entire community — and one that will be remembered for a long time.

But that’s a wrap for the River boys for 2026 — and what a bloody way to go out! An unreal comeback, a two-point win and footy back at Vacy.

A massive thank you to everyone who played a part in making the day happen — players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, old boys, families and everyone who came along and got behind the River.

WHAT A DAY! 🏉🏆

The boys brought home the win, but the biggest victory was bringing footy back to Vacy! A massive thank you to you and all of your incredible staff for making yesterday such a huge success.

Special shoutouts go to Gab, Kath, Paul, and Grahame — without your tireless support, none of this would have been possible. We also want to give a special mention to the Stockmans Cricket Club for keeping everything running smoothly by managing the parking on the day. Community spirit at its absolute best.

We went in as the UNDERDOGS… and walked away WINNERS ON. THE. BELL. 🏉🔥

You honestly couldn’t have scripted it better.

With the game on the line, DUKE ENGEL CROSSED FOR THE TRY to give us a chance…

Then up stepped JENKO.

One kick. On the bell. The whole of Vacy watching.

STRAIGHT THROUGH THE STICKS.

JENKO CONVERTS. PATERSON RIVER WINS. VACY ERUPTS! 🙌💙🤍

Those boys dug DEEP. They played for each other, they played for the jersey, and yesterday they played for every single person standing around that ground cheering them home.

That wasn’t just a win for Paterson River. That was a win for our Old Boys, sponsors, families, supporters and the entire community who came together to make yesterday something we’ll be talking about for years.

The boys knew what this day meant.

And bloody hell… did they turn up.

The underdogs. Back home at Vacy. Duke over for the try. Jenko with the conversion on the bell.
