The purpose of Inspired to Move is to provide people with opportunities to experience the power of human movement and artistic expression through music, dance and exercise, and to inspire them to continuously seek these experiences intuitively every day. ABOUT JULIA
Julia became interested in dance in late 2012 when she tried a ZUMBA fitness class for the first time. It was a life-changing exper
ience for her as she became quickly captivated by exploring different dance styles including Hip-Hop, K-Pop, Reggaeton, Samba, Dancehall, Jazz, Soca, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and Zouk. At the same time, Julia continued to explore the world of ZUMBA fitness, and later, STRONG by Zumba (now STRONG NATION) learning under various instructors, and eventually becoming a ZUMBA instructor herself in October 2015. Julia will continue exploring, learning and challenging herself to develop a variety of movement vocabularies and to share her knowledge and experience of movement with others, in the hope it will also inspire them to embark on their own movement journeys! When she is not attending or teaching dance classes Julia enjoys creating her own choreographies which is a unique style and fusion of her dance experiences and freestyle dance and fitness routines. She is passionate about the artistic, technical and fitness components of all types of movement and aims to bring out these elements in her classes. In addition, Julia is a Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer and enjoys conducting small group personal training, and one-on-one training with a variety of clients, to help them achieve their specific health and fitness goals while also helping them to develop body awareness to move with confidence and motivation. She is interested in learning more about a variety of movement practices including: Pilates, Yoga, Animal Movement, Martial Arts, and Dance and Movement Therapy.
