🏏 150 Games. 2,286 Runs. 192 Wickets. A True Cheetah Legend. 🏏
Today we celebrate a remarkable milestone as Sriramadesikan Gopalsami (Sriram) reaches 150 games for the Cheetahs.
Some players leave their mark on a few matches. Others leave their mark on an entire club.
Over a career spanning 161 matches, Sriram has been the definition of an all-round contributor. With 2,286 runs, 8 half-centuries, and a highest score of 78, he has repeatedly stepped up with the bat when his team needed him most.
But it is with the ball that he has truly built his legacy. An outstanding 192 wickets at an average of just 16.89, including 6 five-wicket hauls, speaks volumes about his skill, consistency and match-winning ability. His best figures of 6/15 and remarkable economy rate of 3.25 reflect a bowler who has frustrated opposition batters for years and delivered breakthroughs time and time again.
Statistics alone, however, do not tell the whole story.
Behind every run and wicket are countless training sessions, sacrifices, early starts, tough losses, memorable victories and unwavering commitment to the club. Sriram has been a teammate everyone can rely on, a competitor who never backs down from a challenge, and a proud representative of the Cheetahs on and off the field.
To wear the same colours for 150 games is an achievement few will ever reach. To do so while becoming one of the club’s most respected performers makes the milestone even more special.
Today we honour not only the numbers, but the person behind them — a player whose dedication, loyalty and passion have helped shape the Cheetahs family.
