As a PT, there is this expectation that we have the perfectly sculpted body and that we are completely happy with the way we look and what we are able to do. With the new year and all the goals for transformation, I wanted to share my own little story.
I am still very much at the beginning of my fitness journey. As someone who was blessed with good genetics, a fast metabolism and was reasonably active I always took my figure for granted and never thought about what I was doing. Then I grew into further bad habits when I got into a relationship and then later became a working mother. I struggled to find motivation and energy and I didn't notice the few extra kilos or the extra body fat creeping up on me.
After going through some huge changes in my life, I decided that I needed and wanted to change what I was doing with my health and my lifestyle. I started my certificate to become a PT and began training in the gym and rediscovered my passion for being fit and healthy and encouraging others to participate as well. However there are still things that I want and need to make better that I am still exploring along with all of my clients. Discovering which foods I need to eat for my body and my energy outtake, mixing up the type of training I am doing, and pushing myself to that next level to ensure i create changes.
So here I am. Starting my own transformation and showing you that it is ok to not look perfect and to not fit 'the image'. As long as you are willing to work towards where you want to be and you are taking the steps, no matter how small, then noone has the right to judge you. Not even yourself.
