Also given we may be short on volunteers for this game, we may need to cover some of the jobs by taking turns as players, ie field umpire for a quarter, etc. Wookie and others will help coordinate on the day, be prepared to help.

Coach Wook is Back and he needs you!!

The start to the 2023 season is fast approaching and we need numbers if we are to get the Clubbies up and running again for 2023. For those of you who have played before will surely remember there will be good times to be had and the forming of life long bonds, as well as some Zoo Keeper Footy on the side.

Training is currently Mondays and Wednesdays at Brens, but soon to be moving to the regular slot of Tuesdays and Thursdays as of the 14th of March.

Any question, queries or interest, just shoot either Mawds or Wook a message.

Attention All past and present ZooKeepers!!

To celebrate the completion of the 10th Home and Away season of the ZooKeepers, we will be announcing "The Team of the Decade" tomorrow night at the Reverse Raffle (7:30 at Brens).

If you have ever adorned yourself with the Green and Tan of the Clubbies/Thirds, get down and celebrate what has been a truly ZooKeeper Decade!

Also if anyone is free, the Zooies with be playing the 1st final Tomorrow at Ferndale Park, Geln Iris at 9:20am vs St Mary's

Keepers make it two on the trot!

In blustery damp conditions the Zooies welcomed Chadstone to Brens Oval for their round 6 clash this morning. Boosted by the return of Keeper cult figure Cal Aristotle the Zooies jumped out to a 4 goal to nothing lead at the first break.

Not able to take advantage of the wind in the second and pushed hard in the third the boys stuck to there guns and responded to the challenge after the final break to run out winners by 41 points. Better players were Benny Rob, the two Sams Goodear and Harvey, the big Cheese who rucked most of the day after Grappa, the muscle truck Cannizzaro and the Big O worked hard all day.

Goal Kickers were Sinny 'Bin Chook' Seegar Snowden 3, the Hajj man, the real pres (Crossy), IFS all with 2 and Sammy B, Kuscha and Big boy Grappa all had 1

The Keepers are back in the winners list after a comprehensive performance down at Brens against North Brunswick this morning.

The Keepers were short on numbers leading up to the game and called up a few blokes to help fill the gaps. Cheers to Fatty Wallace, Fruity Hellner, Joel Moden and Connor ‘Clutch’ McCutcheon for the lift.

The boys came out firing and kept the momentum going forward behind some great performances from the two Sams Harvey and Goodear, Speedy Gonzalez Luke Attard and an excellent skippers game from James ‘randy’ Randell. The Zooies finished on top 122-33 with a classy four quarter effort!

Two blokes, one played really well on a tough day for the Zooies, the other is Benn Anderrson.

Tough day overall for the lads yesterday who went down to Hampton Rovers 9-3 to 2-11. Gallant effort by the boys in the second half after a poor start just couldn't convert on the scoreboard.

Best Players: Ant Balos, Nick Rowland, Lachie Brown, Benny Robinson, 1st gamer Luke Paganin, Connor McLeod

Big game next week against ladder leaders MHSOB, get down to Brens where we kick off our Triple Header at 9:20am

The Keepers have gotten the job done winning by 77 points over West Brunswick to start off our campaign in the best possible way.

A New Year and a New Era. The Clubbies are dead! Long live the Thirds! Tomorrow we begin a new journey under the guidance of Thomas Gibbs, as we now transition into the VAFA Thirds comp. As the out going coach I wish all involved the Best of luck for the upcoming season and hand the flame over to Giblet. Always a Zookeeper at heart!
