The East Malvern crew is getting BIGGER!

So with the dust finally settled on our first ever Festival of Footy, we managed to raise $4200 for charity. Not a bad effort for a first attempt. Lots of lessons were learned. Lots of new ideas were formed for next year. Lots of friends were made.
Lots of people and organisations we need to thank for making this year a success.
Big thanks to the food trucks that committed to be there on the day, in particular SPQR Pizzeria who were the first to commit and gave us the confidence to make the FoF a reality. Tom Gaden also donated money to our cause. Hope to see you guys back next year! To Barrel Of Beans, great coffee and an even greater guy running the show! Thanks Kevin. We hope to see you again next year. SportsFit Physio & Health, thanks for reaching out and offering your services. Your team not only helped us raise money for charity through your massage service, you also did an epic job in the injury management dept throughout the day.
To Brick Lane Brewing Co., you guys got on board early days and were a HUGE supporter of this ALL the way through. Much respect and big thanks (looking at you Justin). Thanks again and hope to have you back next year.
To the Bendigo Bank for giving us a grant to help make this event a reality, HUGE thanks!
To the committee and volunteers, you know who you are: Alex Stott, Mick McCann, Luke Barisic, Jessica Currie, Dale, Alex Arabit Rob Lock, Koree CT, Tricia Dee, Tania Perry, Alice Mini,

Nothing is possible without the good will of great people. We have started something amazing that we can all be proud of. Can't wait till next year already. Lets aim to raise $10K plus next year.

Last but not least, thanks to all the teams for rocking up and playing! All the games were played in great spirits. It's certainly a sight to behold watching gun footballers sharing the same field with first time footballers and everyone enjoying themselves. That's what Aussie Sevens is all about. That's what all sport should be about.

So glad to have aligned ourselves with great charities, Blind Sports Vic, Indigenous Literacy Foundation and Drought Angels. We gave them $1400 each. So much more to give next year. ;-)l
