Sunday 13th September - 1st paddle of the new season

8 paddlers today - a slow start to our season with many members away enjoying the beautiful weather...

We welcomed Kassidy into the boat today - she's a natural! Having paddled during a team day session earlier this year, Kassidy knew what she was in for and boy did she give it a go today!

20 odd black swans were cruising around the lake, and we recovered 2 of the life rings from the jetty that had drifted across the lake into the reeds.

Training days are normally Saturday afternoon at 2pm, for 2:30pm on the water.

12 paddlers, including 3 from Forbes, enjoyed a great afternoon on the very full Lake Endeavour. So good to see the water level up and water going over the spillway!
The water level is also making launching a breeze (see video in next post)

🌭🍰 Fundraiser BBQ & Cake Stall at Parkes Mitre 10! 🍰🌭

We are very excited to announce that on Saturday 20th June, from 8:30am to 12:30pm, the Parkes Dragon Boat Club will be hosting a fundraiser BBQ and cake stall at Parkes Mitre 10!

The club is raising funds to support its members and activities, so come along and grab a delicious sausage sizzle, homemade treats while you're shopping for all your home improvement and hardware needs.

It's a great way to support a local community group while enjoying a tasty snack.

12 paddlers enjoyed the beautiful waters of Lake Endeavour again today after a 5 week hiatus (Earthworks and then paddler availability)...
The black swans and swamp hens, ducks, cormorants and sea eagles were in abundance!
