🎄🥊 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
As the year comes to an end, I just want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who has been part of this journey. Backyard boxing isn’t just about the fights — it’s about family, respect, discipline, and standing together no matter what.
To the fighters who put their bodies and hearts on the line, who show up when it’s hard, who push through pain and doubt — I’m beyond proud of you. Your courage, dedication, and hunger inspire more people than you realise.
To the supporters, friends, family, and everyone who has backed us, shared our posts, turned up, or believed in what we’re building — none of this would be possible without you. Your support has meant more to me than words can explain.
This year came with its challenges, its lessons, and its growth. We’ve taken hits, we’ve stood back up, and we’ve kept moving forward together. That’s what this sport teaches us — resilience, strength, and heart.
As the year comes to an end, I also want to share something personal. After 43 years, I’ve made the decision to retire. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s one made with pride, gratitude, and peace. Boxing and backyard boxing have shaped who I am, taught me discipline, strength, and respect, and given me memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
I walk away incredibly proud of what we’ve built and even more proud of the people who stand behind it. This isn’t goodbye to the family — it’s simply the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
I hope this Christmas brings you peace, love, and time with the people who matter most. Take this time to rest, reset, and appreciate how far you’ve come.
Thank you for everything over the past 43 years.
Always with respect and love,
Tommy Ward
