As the season comes to a close, we’d like to let our community know that Parkes Aquatic Centre’s final day of the season will be Tuesday, 31st March☀️💦

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank our incredible community for your continued support throughout the season, as well as Parkes Shire Council for their ongoing partnership.

It’s been an amazing few months filled with success stories, community events, movie nights, fundraising efforts, and exciting upgrades across the centre. We’re proud of what’s been achieved and even more excited for what’s still to come next season!

From all of us at Parkes Aquatic Centre – thank you for being part of such a fantastic season. We look forward to welcoming you back bigger and better next time 🙌

Unfortunate news for the Trundle pool, come along and enjoy the last couple of evenings at the pool with movie nights occurring.

Very exciting that upgrades are scheduled for this upcoming offseason much needed 👌

🏊‍♂️ Trundle Pool - Early Closure Notice

We regret to advise the community that Trundle Pool will close earlier than scheduled, with the final day of public access being Sunday, 22 March 2026.

This decision has been made due to a failure of the pool’s chemical dosing system. While repair options were explored, there is no guarantee of a successful fix, and with only a limited number of operating days remaining in the season, it is not considered a responsible use of public funds to proceed.

Importantly, the pool’s plant room is already scheduled for demolition and full renewal during the upcoming off-season as part of the Community Assets Program, which will deliver long-term improvements to the facility.

🎬 Good news for the community:
To support planned events, the pool will remain open for the Movie Nights tonight and tomorrow evening, with safe, manual water dosing and ongoing water quality testing in place.

We understand this may be disappointing and thank the community for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to an improved facility in the future.

Please note that the pool will be closed to the public tomorrow from 1:00pm to 5:00pm while the Swimming Club holds their Club Championships.

We appreciate your understanding while the event takes place and wish all competitors the best of luck in the pool! 🏅

The facility will reopen to the public after 5:00pm.

🚨 Parkes Aquatic Centre – Facility Closure Notice 🚨

Please note the Parkes Aquatic Centre will be closed to the public tomorrow Friday 13th March from 8:00am to 3:00pm due to a school swimming carnival.

During this time, the entire facility will be unavailable for public use.

The centre will reopen to the public from 3:00pm as normal.

Peak Hill closed on the 18th March all residents welcome to attend Parkes Aquatic free of charge

NOTICE – PEAK HILL COMMUNITY

Peak Hill Memorial Pool will be closed all day Wednesday due to Sorry Business.

During this time, Peak Hill residents are welcome at Parkes Pool, where they will receive free entry and a free soft drink for the day.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and respect during this time.

During this time, the facility will not be available for general swimming.
