A long and rich 25 year history within the SAASL, an opportunity was offered to join the Federation of South Australia (FSA) in 2016, but on condition of a name change, due to a non-ethnic football policy. platform to continue to build on its great tradition of success. The Pontian Eagles have always been one of the top contenders in the
Sunday Premier League division, reaching the semi final in the SAASL Cup in 2011, and recently crowned Premiers (R) in 2018. In it’s very first season in the federation, the Pontian Eagles missed a finals playoff by a single point, with the U18’s taking out the Premiership title in one of the most exhilerating comebacks finals football at VALO park had seen. The Club was established to provide a facility for the Greek youth within the Pontian Community. Over time, the stature of ‘the Pontian’ has attracted youth from all backgrounds, on the foundation of it’s motto...
