Pontian Eagles Soccer Club

Pontian Eagles Soccer Club Est. in 1992, Pontian Eagles Soccer Club continues to build on its motto: respect all, fear none. The Pontian Eagles Soccer Club was established in 1992.

A long and rich 25 year history within the SAASL, an opportunity was offered to join the Federation of South Australia (FSA) in 2016, but on condition of a name change, due to a non-ethnic football policy. A true blight on Australian football history. The offer was rightly rejected. With FSA regulatory hindsight, the offer was again proposed for season 2020, as the Pontian Eagles, and embraced the platform to continue to build on its great tradition of success. The Pontian Eagles have always been one of the top contenders in the
Sunday Premier League division, reaching the semi final in the SAASL Cup in 2011, and recently crowned Premiers (R) in 2018. In it’s very first season in the federation, the Pontian Eagles missed a finals playoff by a single point, with the U18’s taking out the Premiership title in one of the most exhilerating comebacks finals football at VALO park had seen. The Club was established to provide a facility for the Greek youth within the Pontian Community. Over time, the stature of ‘the Pontian’ has attracted youth from all backgrounds, on the foundation of it’s motto...

Pontian Eagles SC are delighted to announce Jake Loulas as our Under 18s coach for the 2027 State League 1 season.

Having spent many years coaching young men in the SL1, NPL, YPL and YCC competitions within the Football South Australia competitions, Jake takes the reins of our future. An extremely organised coach with an intention to create future seniors players for our club, Jake understands what building a culture entails and the work ethic required for players to progress

Congratulations to our Under 18s ladies won finished runner up in the Div 2 league.

A fantastic effort by coach Sati and the girls . Adjusting from playing in the lower levels of community football to this year taking on girls their own age and ability. After a slow start the girls got on roll and soared to a top 2 finish

Congratulations to our reserves team who qualified to play in this coming weekend Grand Final vs Pirates

Dom Musci has done a fantastic job with this squad after taking the team two weeks before the season started.

Credit also to the players who have performed extremely well all season, applied pressure to the first team, won the minor premiership and now will compete for our 4 senior trophy of the year!!!

Pontian Eagles SC are delighted to announce Bill Nastou as our senior assistant coach for the 2027 season.

Having spent many years coaching young men in the SL1 and NPL competitions with the Football South Australia competitions, Bill steps up to senior coaching department where his skills of working with younger, senior players is his forte. We have a young team of talented players that Bill, together with senior head coach Yianni Stama, and other coaches yet to be announce, will work and continue to develop.
