Pontian Eagles Soccer Club

Pontian Eagles Soccer Club Est. in 1992, Pontian Eagles Soccer Club continues to build on its motto: respect all, fear none. The Pontian Eagles Soccer Club was established in 1992.

A long and rich 25 year history within the SAASL, an opportunity was offered to join the Federation of South Australia (FSA) in 2016, but on condition of a name change, due to a non-ethnic football policy. A true blight on Australian football history. The offer was rightly rejected. With FSA regulatory hindsight, the offer was again proposed for season 2020, as the Pontian Eagles, and embraced the

platform to continue to build on its great tradition of success. The Pontian Eagles have always been one of the top contenders in the
Sunday Premier League division, reaching the semi final in the SAASL Cup in 2011, and recently crowned Premiers (R) in 2018. In it’s very first season in the federation, the Pontian Eagles missed a finals playoff by a single point, with the U18’s taking out the Premiership title in one of the most exhilerating comebacks finals football at VALO park had seen. The Club was established to provide a facility for the Greek youth within the Pontian Community. Over time, the stature of ‘the Pontian’ has attracted youth from all backgrounds, on the foundation of it’s motto...

A hard-fought contest sees us share the points this weekend against Modbury Vista.

🤝 Seniors: Pontian Eagles 1-1 Modbury Vista

Unfortunately, due to the condition of the pitch and ongoing weather, both our Under 18s and Reserves fixtures were postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Our Senior Men battled through challenging conditions and showed plenty of determination to come away with a result!

We Want Your Support!

Members of the Pontian Eagles Under 14's are taking part in this year's Push-Up Challenge.
They are looking at completing
3, 307 push-ups between the 3rd and 26th of June and raising $500 for Mental Health Awareness. This is a tough challenge for our players but not as tough as the challenges faced by those suffering with Mental Health issues as well as their families.

We know what we teach at our club goes beyond what happens on the pitch, and this is an opportunity for our young players to commit to something that may help their friends, family and wider community.
