Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push Established in 2002, the Paluma Push is an iconic XC mountain bike event in North Queensland. It is an individual challenge as well as a great social event.

Riders start in Paluma Village, following a course that winds its way through lush World Heritage rainforest to Paluma Dam, down into shady big timber and open cattle country and finishes at the historic tin mining settlement of Hidden Valley. Take a dose of Paluma Push tropical riding to cure your southern winter blues. This annual event is held every third weekend in July

Who's keen for a weekend in Hidden Valley? 👀

Join us this Saturday and Sunday for our third Paluma Push social ride.

📍 Hidden Valley Cricket Grounds (Ted Furber Memorial Park)

Saturday | 3pm
We'll roll out from the Cricket Grounds and head towards the Grave Yards before returning via CP6 and some fun singletrack back to camp. Approximately 20km.

Sunday | 9am
We'll tackle Jacobsen's Loop, a beautiful section of the 70km and 100km courses. Expect around 30km of riding, some climbing, incredible scenery and plenty of opportunities to regroup along the way.

🏕 Want to make a weekend of it? Camping is available at the Cricket Grounds on Saturday night for a $10 cash donation, with all proceeds supporting the local Rural Fire Brigade.

These rides are a fantastic opportunity to check out parts of the course, meet fellow riders, and enjoy exclusive access to Hidden Valley Station ahead of race day.

A huge shout-out to 3D Elements for creating our trophies for this year’s Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push! 🏆🚵

With 2026 marking the 25th anniversary of the event, we wanted trophies that reflect the significance of this milestone.

The custom-designed trophies will be heading home with some very deserving riders after they take on and conquer the Push!

🚨 Race Day Schedule 🚨

The Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push is almost here, and we've got a huge day planned.

✅ Rider sign-in opens from 6:30am – 8:15am
✅ Rider briefing starts at 8:30am at the Paluma Village Green
✅ First race starts at 8:50am
✅ Mini Push kicks off at 2:30pm
✅ Presentations at approximately 3:00pm
✅ Live music from Shots Fired from 6:00pm in the Festival Area

Don't forget:
🚌 Bus transfers run throughout the day between Hidden Valley and Paluma (all morning bus transfers are now sold out)
🚴 Water bottle drop is available for 70km and 100km riders before the race in front of the Community Centre
🏕 Camping check-in opens from 12:00pm–8:00pm on Friday, and from 1:00pm on Saturday at Hidden Valley Cricket Oval
