🔵⚪ STILL BLUE | GABLO & ASAP ⚪🔵

Two of our 2026 recruits liked the place enough to stick around - Will Gadsden and Liam Jacka are Still Blue in ’27. ✍️

Better known around the Club as Spindles, Gablo, Will… or whatever name he’s answering to that week, Will Gadsden has made a huge impact in just one season at the Blues. While he brings plenty on the field, it’s what Gablo has added to the culture of the Club that has really stood out. He’s embraced the Blues from day one and has quickly become one of those people every footy club needs around the place.

Then there’s Liam “ASAP” Jacka. A hardworking and reliable backman who gets his job done week after week, ASAP has made his presence felt in defence since arriving at the Club in 2026. He competes hard, has an impact and is exactly the sort of player you want alongside you.

One year down. Plenty more to come. 💪

🔵⚪ STILL BLUE | O’LEARY & LAING ⚪🔵

Two more important pieces of our senior group are locked in for 2027. ✍️

After joining the Blues in 2026, Tommy O’Leary wasted no time making his mark. A great first season saw him become an important part of the side, and he has quickly cemented himself as a genuine leader around the Club.

For Laingy, the Blue runs a little deeper. A Blues junior who has come through the ranks and into senior footy, there’s plenty of family history behind the jumper too. His dad was part of the Blues’ 1990 Premiership side and was later named in the Club’s Team of the Half Century. Laingy is now forging his own path in Blue and has cemented himself as a real leader of the Club, both on and off the field.

Two quality footballers. Two leaders. Two more locked away for 2027. 💪

🔵 2027 SIGNINGS | SPRINGA & BUSSEY

We’re kicking off our 2027 player announcements with two pretty handy names locked in for another year in Blue. 💙

Nathan Spring is back for 2027.

Our Club Captain, Springa has now pulled on the Blues jumper more than 140 times, building a long list of individual accolades along the way. But beyond the awards, he’s been a huge part of our senior group for years. He is a leader, competitor and someone who knows exactly what it means to wear the Hinterland jumper.

And joining him is Michael Bussey.

The 2025 Club Best & Fairest is locked in for another season after continuing to be one of the most important members of our senior side. Tough, reliable and consistently among our best, Bussey brings plenty to the group both on and off the field.

Today we celebrate all the dads and father figures who are part of the Blues family.

The ones who get the kids to training, stand on the sidelines every weekend, pull on the boots themselves, coach, volunteer, help around the Club and are always there to lend a hand. 🏉

💙🏉 THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR 2026 JUNIOR SEASON! 🏉💙

Sunday’s Junior Presentation was a fantastic way to finish another great year of junior footy and celebrate our young Blues, their achievements and all the fun that’s been had along the way.

A huge congratulations to all of our players. Whether it was your first season in the navy blue or you’ve been with us for a few years, we hope you’ve made some great mates, grown as a player and, most importantly, loved your footy. 💙

Our junior program simply wouldn’t happen without the people who give up their time each week, so a massive thank you to our wonderful coaches and managers:

Carlee has put an enormous amount of time and energy into our junior program, supporting our players, coaches and families and keeping everything moving behind the scenes. When our Seniors also needed a hand this season, she also stepped up when needed. Carlee is a great example of the one-club spirit we’re so proud of.

And to our parents and families - thank you! From getting kids to training and games, helping with canteen and BBQ rosters, scoring, first aid and all the other jobs that need doing, to simply being there on the sidelines every week cheering them on, your support makes junior footy possible.

💙 A BIG THANK YOU TO ROSCO & PALMWOODS HOTEL 💙

We’re incredibly grateful to have received $2,910 for the Hinterland Blues thanks to the fundraising efforts of Rosco and our Major Sponsor, Palmwoods Hotel!

Rosco is a fantastic supporter of local sport and puts an enormous amount of his own time into raising money for organisations across our community. We’re very fortunate to be one of the clubs benefiting from his hard work again this year.

🏆 CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN! 🔵⚪

It’s time to recognise the people who give their time, energy and effort to make the Hinterland Blues the club we all love.

Nominations are now open for:
🔹 Junior Club Person of the Year
🔹 Senior Club Person of the Year
🔹 Teagle Family Club Person of the Year

When putting forward your nomination, we encourage everyone to think beyond their own team. These awards are about recognising those who continually contribute to the benefit of the Club; the people who step up, lend a hand, volunteer their time and help make things happen across the season.

For our Teagle Gamily Club of the Year in particular, think about someone whose contribution reaches across both our junior and senior clubs and who genuinely helps make the Blues better as a whole. 💙

Don’t just tell us WHO deserves it; make sure you tell us WHY! Nominations that do not include reasons, may not be considered.
