💛 R U OK? DAY 💛

Thursday 10th September is National R U OK? Day and is a good reminder to check in with the people around us. Not just today but any day.

Sometimes, someone who is struggling won’t look like they’re struggling. They might be laughing, showing up to work, training, looking after their family, or simply saying, “I’m fine.”

A genuine “Are you OK?”, followed by taking the time to listen, can open the door to a conversation that someone may desperately need.

Su***de prevention starts with connection. We don’t need to have the right words or know how to fix things. We can simply be there, listen without judgement, and remind someone that they don’t have to face things alone.

So today, think about someone you haven’t checked in on lately. Send the message. Make the call. Ask the question.

Are you OK? 💛

And remember, it’s OK if the answer is “No.” You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply listening and letting someone know they’re not alone is enough.

🩷BREAST CANCER AWARENESS FUNDRAISER 🩷

This October, NT Tang Soo Do Karate Academy is once again, proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Last year, we were able to raise over $1000 and hoping to do the same this year - and then some!

This year, more than 40 of our junior, teen and adult students will be swapping their regular karate belts for limited-edition pink karate belts to help raise awareness and funds for life-saving breast cancer research for the month of October. 🩷

Every belt worn represents strength, unity, and our commitment to fighting for a future with zero deaths from breast cancer.

If you’d like to support our efforts, we warmly welcome any additional donations as every dollar goes directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and their incredible work. Any donation, big or small, is really appreciated!
