The Northern Sharks Rugby League Football Club would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Niki family on the passing of Bernard ‘Boofy’ Niki, who proudly represented the University Sharks.

Boofy was a valued member of the Sharks family, and his contribution to the club and the game will not be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences go out to Bernard’s family, friends, teammates and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during this difficult time.

May he rest peacefully. 🕊️

We want to wish our Sharks girls Jess, Shaquita, Mayo, Grace, Dee and Missy the very best of luck in the Grand Final today! 🏆

After our Northern Sharks Women unfortunately had to withdraw from the competition midway through the season, our girls joined forces with the Nightcliff Dragons and we couldn’t be prouder to see them taking the field today. 💪🏽🦈

We are all backing you girls and will be cheering you on from the sidelines!

This is what rugby league and community sport is all about supporting one another, coming together and continuing to play the game we love.

And a huge GOOD LUCK to all the clubs competing in the big Grand Finals today!

What an incredibly special moment for the Northern Sharks family. 🦈💙

A huge congratulations to Jacob Collie, recipient of the Frank Johnson Medal at the Frank Johnson & Gaynor Maggs Medal Awards Night! 🏆👏

This is an achievement that could not be more deserved.

Jacob has given so much to the Northern Sharks, not only through his performances on the field as a player, but through his leadership, dedication and commitment as a coach. He continues to lead by example, inspire those around him and embody everything it means to wear the Sharks jersey.

We are incredibly proud of Jacob, both as a coach and as a player. His contribution to our club goes far beyond what happens on game day. He invests in his teammates, his players and the future of our club, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to be part of his journey.

The Frank Johnson Medal is a wonderful recognition of the person Jacob is, the player he continues to be, and the coach and leader he has become.

What a game! Our U15 Girls have fought their way to Grand Final glory, taking out a hard-fought battle against the Litchfield Bears in an absolute nail-biter! 🦈🔥

After 50 minutes of tough footy, determination and never giving up, our girls came away with a 14–12 victory! 🙌💙

Every tackle, every run and every moment mattered and our girls showed exactly what they could do!

A fantastic contest between two quality teams, with the Sharks holding on in a close finish to claim the 2026 Premiership. Congratulations also to the Bears on an outstanding season and Grand Final performance. 👏
