Thinking of going keyless with your golf cart??
1. remove the plastic logo from the front of the dash with a knife or screwdriver to expose the securing bolt
2. remove the bolt with an Allen Key
3. remove the dash by lifting at the front and pulling forward
4. remove the connector from the back of the ignition
5. locate the 12v loom and remove the red electrical tape to expose the connectors
6. plug the positive (red) and negative (black) into the corresponding connectors on the wireless switch (connecting them the wrong way will damage the switch)
7. plug in the ignition connector to the wireless switch connector
8. secure the wireless switch with cable ties
9. Reinstall the dash, securing bolt and plastic logo
Keep the remote in your pocket and you can shut down your cart from unauthorized use, up to approximately 50m.
With the cable removed from the back of your ignition, keys, or screwdrivers will not start your cart.
Note - in case of failure of the wireless switch, loss of remote or battery failure in the remote, please keep a spare golf cart key and the Allen Key in your golf bag to quickly change the cabling back to factory if you ever need to.
