ngatta (45's), the Southern Gold Coast Masters (SGCM) brings a fresh and exciting new look to the QLD AFL Masters competition from season 2017. Welcoming players of any standard or experience, SGCM encourages players from every walk of life to come and participate in Masters footy. Although perfectly suited to Southern Gold Coast based players, SGCM welcomes players from any location and can accommodate all situations. The season runs from April to September each year with games held every second weekend (usually on Sunday) in the general area of the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. Training is fun and non-compulsory with a view to keep the body fit and healthy (followed by a quiet beverage afterwards). For the enthusiastic, each year there's a national carnival held at a nominated venue within Australia. Season 2016 saw the National Carnival held here on the Gold Coast with teams from every state involved. The 2017 carnival will be held in Geelong, Victoria.
