🏆 T20 Cup Results 🏆

Our first action of season 26/27 saw us with a double header against the Bay and Surfers in the Pre-Season T20 Cup. 

🏏 In the morning’s fixture against Bay, we were sent into bat and were left floundering at 2/12 early. a 49 run partnership between Ryan McCloy (13 off 18) and Jared Neuhaus (33 off 24) steadied the ship before Brent Anderson (63 off 41) injected substance into the innings -  blasting 4 x Four’s and clearing the rope on another 4 occasions to anchor a dominant 8/162 at conclusion of our 20. It was a score that was never threatened with regular early wickets putting the game to bed early in the chase before the ball was thrown around to just about anyone wearing a purple shirt to blow out some cobwebs! Zane Anderson (3/21) was the pick of the bowlers. 

🏏 After a short, fried chicken-filled drive to Southport, our men were ready to take on Surfers Paradise - last year’s T20 Cup premiers. Another lost toss had us in the field to start with. A disciplined all-round bowling performance, mixed with some comical dropped catches, restricted the Demons to 6/113 after their 20 with Ryan McCloy’s 3-fa the highlight. Christian Payne’s (55 off 28) blistering start killed the game in a heartbeat with handy assistance from Zane Newton (28 off 17) as we chased the total down in the 10th over. 

A perfect start from our men in the shortened competition! Next Saturday morning we take on the other unbeaten team from our group - Southport Labrador. With only one team guaranteed progression into the semi’s, this shapes up as a must win!

Our pre-season under 10s training will commence next week on Wednesdays until School Holidays.

These sessions are open to both existing and interested players whether you are registered or not and will serve as an opportunity for parents to get involved!!

🚀 PBCC Youth Academy 🚀

We’re excited to launch the brand new Palm Beach Currumbin Cricket Club Youth Academy, starting this October - see the attached brochure.
This is a Palm Beach first and a fantastic opportunity for young cricketers across the Gold Coast who are keen to improve, challenge themselves and take their game to the next level.
The Academy is open to all local players — you do not need to be a Palm Beach member to join.

Delivered in partnership with Lucky’s Cricket, the program brings a proven holistic Academy model to the Gold Coast. Lucky has run his 12-week Winter High-Performance Academy for the past six years and the Souths Junior Youth Academy for the past four years, with more than 600 participants across those programs.
Across six Sunday sessions, players will work on:

🏏 Batting, bowling and fielding
🏃‍♂️ Strength and conditioning
🎥 Video analysis
🥅 Goal setting
👩‍✈️ Leadership and culture
🧊 Recovery and mobility
💭 T20 skills and match awareness
💡 Life skills and personal development

Players will also be coached by Palm Beach and Dolphins First and Second Grade players and coaches.

Dates: Sunday 11 October – Sunday 15 November 2026

�Duration: 6 weeks

Ages 8–11: 8:00am–9:30am | $220�Ages 12–17: 9:30am–11:00am | $320

A second six-week program will also run from 31 January to 7 March 2027.

Registrations are now open for the Academy.
Places are limited, so don’t miss the chance to be part of the inaugural Palm Beach Youth Academy.

Eligible Queensland families can now apply for up to $200 to help children aged 5-17 years participate in sport.

👕 Uniforms 👖
Uniforms remain the same as last season for all grades from Under 10s through to Opens. Cricket Blast players will receive a shirt as part of their Cricket Australia participation pack, so no separate uniform purchase is required for this age group.
Families wanting a custom uniform with a name and number printed on the back will need to have orders placed by Sunday, 16 August. Orders are placed during the last stage of the registration process.

📣 When is the best time to secure your new Play On! Sports Voucher?

Applications for Play On! Sports Vouchers will open on 27 July, with up to $200 available to help Queensland kids aged from 5-17 participate in sport.

There will be two opportunities to apply this financial year.

If you’re planning ahead for summer sport, it’s best to apply this round. If your focus is on winter sports like netball or football, you may prefer to wait for the round later this financial year.

Senior registration for the 2026/27 season is officially open. The club building toward one of its biggest season yet — and there's a place in it for you. Whether you're a returning player or joining the Lions Den for the first time, now's the time to sign on. All grades, all skill levels welcome.

Want a personalised shirt with your name and number? Uniform orders are purchased in the final step of registration, and must be completed by August 16th to be included for personalisation.
