To try and get over 30 years of Martial Arts experience into a small "about" section on Facebook is not an easy task so I will keep it short and sweet. Before the age of 20, Greg Whitehouse spent most of his spare time surfing and boxing in the Sutherland Shire of NSW. He was a big fan of the legendary Bruce Lee and a strong believer in Lee's philosophies. There are many Masters who's styles have
always been big influences in Greg's life. After a bad back accident at work, Greg's life changed and he endured 4 years of life in a back brace. Greg decided to make the move to QLD where he met his first Ninja teacher, Mike Peterson. Mike helped show Greg the way out of life in a back brace and how to rebuild his mind, body and spirit using Martial Arts. Some years later, Greg met Master John Hunt. It was here that the art of Karate came into his life. Greg became sparring partners for boys like Jay Turner and Mark Swane, who in their time, were both QLD kickboxing champions. Greg had to make the move back to NSW for family reasons in the 80's and this is where Kung Fu and Hapkido begun. 1987 was wonderful Martial Arts time in the beings of JKD lessons from Guru Dan Insonato as well as studying in Zen Shiatsu to become principal instructor 10/12/91 from the Rising Dragon. March 98 Thai Boxing association under Master Chai Sirisute which Greg still practices today. Thus, with the blessing of Guru Don Insonato and Master Chai Sirisute the White Roo stable began working with Grant Bomber Barker as corner man and under coach, Mick Spinks for 2 years. Greg then went to study in Thailand in 1993. He then returned home to QLD where he now runs his White Roo stable in his home town of Palm Beach.
