Huge congratulations to last weeks standouts:

Men’s Metro 1 – Mitchell Whiting
Women’s Metro 1 – Teejay Peterson

Mitchell scored his first goal for the team and continues to impress on the hockey field. Drawing on his floorball background, he has seamlessly transferred his skills and made a significant impact.

Teejay for her relentless work rate, consistently getting to the ball first and demonstrating outstanding leadership across the field.

Thanks to for providing player vouchers, giving our athletes access to physio, exercise physiology, myotherapy, and dietetic services. Supporting our players to manage injuries and perform at their best 🙌

WEEKLY RESULTS 🏑🌪️💙

The Cardinia Storm men took on Glen Eira in a crucial 4th vs 5th clash. In tough winter conditions, Cardinia struck first through Mitchell White, who scored his maiden senior goal in Daniel Albrecht’s 50th game. Ayushi Wahi added a short corner conversion, but Glen Eira responded twice to secure a 2–2 draw.

The Cardinia Storm women faced Casey on Sunday at Berwick. Despite creating early opportunities, Casey capitalised on a couple of short corners to build a lead. First-game goalkeeper Jennifer Fallu grew in confidence throughout the match, producing several impressive saves. Teagan Peterson worked tirelessly, while Lilly Kelly and Alana Nancarrow battled hard despite close attention from their opponents, both finding the scoreboard. Casey ran out 4–2 winners.

Cardinia’s Under 12s side sing the song loud and proud after a terrific 6–0 win over Casey. The team continues to grow in confidence, develop their skills, and embrace every challenge. Most importantly, they’re learning, improving, and having plenty of fun along the way. A fantastic team performance and another great milestone in their hockey journey.

🌭💙🖤 Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser Success! 🖤💙🌭

Last week, the Cardinia Storm Hockey Club community came together for our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser, and we’re excited to share that we raised an incredible $2,265 for our club!

This fantastic result would not have been possible without the support of volunteers from across all areas of our club, including our Junior, Men’s and Women’s units. We were proud to see senior players, junior players and parents all working side-by-side to make the day a success.

A special thank you also goes to our generous club members who donated supplies, including condiments and enough cans of soft drink that we didn’t need to purchase any ourselves. This generosity helped us maximise our profit and make every dollar count for our club.

Fundraisers like this are only successful because of the many people who contribute in different ways. Thank you to everyone who:
✅ Helped organise the event
✅ Collected and delivered supplies
✅ Volunteered their time on the day
✅ Donated items and resources
✅ Handed out flyers and promoted the event
✅ Shared and engaged with our social media posts
✅ Purchased sausages and drinks throughout the day

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, played a part in achieving this amazing result.

Thank you for continuing to support Cardinia Storm Hockey Club. Together, we are building a stronger club and creating more opportunities for our players both on and off the field.

Milestone announcement

Daniel Albrecht celebrates his 50th game this weekend for Cardinia Storm. In those 50 games, he has shared the field with his brother Ben, nephew Riley, and son Sammy Albrecht. Daniel is a true teammate and is always there for his teammates on and off the field, as well as always adding to the highlight reel, whether it’s an overhead kick and a massive full-field overlap, plus an odd goal here and there. He was a part of the men’s 1st team and the club’s first premiership. Can you guess how much deep heat Daniel has used in those games?
