πŸ’›πŸ€Ž PLAYER RE-SIGNING πŸ€ŽπŸ’›

We are proud to welcome back Prabath Kobbekaduwa for his 6th season as a Yabbie!

PK has been a valued member of our club for many years and continues to be a key contributor both on and off the field. Last season he once again showed his class with the bat, scoring 352 runs at an impressive average of 29.33 in our A grade side.

A reliable top-order batter, PK's experience, consistency and leadership make him an important part of our playing group.

We are thrilled to have PK back in the brown and gold for another season and can't wait to see him continue his strong form this summer.

Congratulations, PK! 🏏

πŸ’›πŸ€Ž Junior Yabbie's receive league awards.

Huge congratulations to young gun Jay Jarred on picking up 2 league awards recently. Jay took out the Bowling Aggregate award with 14 wickets and the Bowling average award with an incredible average of 6.07. Jay also finished third in the champion player for Under 14.

Amazing results Jay. Your hard work and consistency throughout the season has paid off. We are all proud of you and we look forward to seeing what you can do in Under 14 again next season.

πŸ’›πŸ€Ž Yabbies win League awards!

Join us in congratulating 3 of our senior players for taking out league awards this season.

B Grade Batting Aggregate Adam Tucker, 407 runs. Tucksy elevated himself to opening the batting mid season after challenged to do so by his son. Accused of hiding in the middle order, he took this personally then took hold of B grade piling on the most runs. At 46 years of age he assures us he is not like a fine wine, but more like a Melbourne Bitter, little style but effective.

C Grade Bowling Average Bailey Smith, 8.47. Adding to his B Grade Premiership and Man of the Match in the Grand Final, Bailey also dominated in C Grade. Playing only 8 games in C before being elevated to B, Bailey managed to snag 34 wickets @ 8.47 average, only beaten for the Bowling Aggregate also in the last round. Left arm over, tricky to play, right in the muck! There is an argument that bailey is like a fine wine, but probably still too young to make that analogy.

1 day comp Bowling Average Hiren Patel, 15.00. Skipper of our 1 day team, Hiren once again produced with the ball all season taking our the league average. An awesome effort when the whole comp is designed to take on the bowling and score runs quickly. Calm and sneaky, Hiren was able to work out the batters plans which were go large, then set them up to remove them. Hiren has great skill and snagged 28 wickets during the season.

Awesome individual results for great season performances guys.

Already looking forward to next season to see what the guys can achieve.

Go yabbies!
