𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬

Pony Club Victoria is excited to announce the qualifying criteria for the 2027 Pony Club Victoria State Dressage and Showjumping Championships, with two significant changes creating more opportunities for riders to compete at State level.

1) 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖
From 2027, both the State Dressage and State Showjumping Championships are open to all riders who meet the relevant qualifying criteria.

This is an exciting change for PCV and means that riders who achieve the required qualifying performances will be eligible to compete at State Championships, providing more members with the opportunity to experience competition at the highest level of Pony Club Victoria competition.

2) 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
The 2027 State Championships will also introduce a Masters section in all grades.

The Masters section will be open to members over the age of 25 years.

This exciting addition recognises the continued participation and commitment of our adult riders and provides Masters riders with the opportunity to compete for State Championship honours in their own section.

Great news for open riders and ungraded pony club combinations. We are now offering Open F at our Showjumping Championships!

Entries for all other grades close tonight! Open F will close Wednesday evening.

Congratulations to Ella and Cyril who have won both of their rounds in the NEZ Ride To Time State Qualifiers 👏

Cyril raced as Plein Ciel. He won over half a million dollars during his racing career, and has enjoyed his outings back to the track.

If you'd like to know more about Ride To Time we're sure Ella would love to help other members make their debut too.

Just a couple of years ago Rory was out competing in the Moyhu Pony Club uniform, on OTT thoroughbreds he educated himself. Now he's in the UK working with one of the greatest eventers in the world, and showjumping at Hickstead!
