We're considering something a little different for Oxley Horse Trials on 9–11 October and want to hear from our eventing community.
Would you be interested in entering a CCN1 Long* format competition?
Inspired by the excitement and tradition of long-format eventing, particularly with the Melbourne 3DE taking place this weekend, we're exploring the possibility of offering a CCN1 Long* alongside our regular program.
The event would still include:
🐎 CCN1* Short
🐎 Classes from 65cm through to 2.5*
As a Long format must run over three days, competitors would need to complete their dressage on Friday afternoon, with the remaining phases conducted across Saturday and Sunday.
Before we commit to the extra planning and logistics, we'd love to know:
✅ Would you enter a CCN1* Long?
✅ Would the Friday afternoon dressage work for you?
✅ If not entering yourself, do you think there is enough demand to support the class?
