During the Kokoda challenge we will experience extreme levels of fatigue being awake for 40 hours and hiking 96km. I put my body through a bit of a test in the last week to monitor how I handle fatigue. Result was I slept through my alarm early this morning πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ increasing fitness will certainly help with this and getting my eating sport on. Training for this event is a very big learning experience.

You can't put dirty fuel in your car then expect it will perform at its best for very long or at all, and your body is the same. If you want your body to perform you need to fuel it properly. We lead very busy lives nowadays and often wonder how we can find time to workout. It just comes down to priorities and making the choice for change. If you want something bad enough, it is worth all the challenges and hard work you have to go through to get there.

I am training for the 2 biggest events of my life, somehow manage to work full time and run fitness classes 4 days a week and absolutely there are hard, tough days. Making it work is all about planning and the fact that I enjoy it certainly helps. It is certainly very hard work, but stuff this good doesn't come easy. We have to work for our dreams.

Stair climbing is such a great exercise. Cardiovascular and strength training in one activity. Today I was at Burleigh and completed 1414 steps. I will need alot of stretching after leg day yesterday at the gym, now this today. Glutes and quads are super tight now.
