Ouyen Golf Report
Perfect weather conditions greeted golfers for the final honour board event of the season, the Karingal contractors sponsored Golden putter.
This is a 27 hole 4bbb par event. 23 players made up a field of 12 pairs. With perfect growing conditions after all the rain making the grass thick resulting in very little run for the golf ball it made scoring tough for almost everyone.
The winners with a score of +7 were the father and son team of Deane and Ethan Munro. Runners up on countback with +3 were Peter Brady and Nick Vine. Two other pairs also shot +3 they were Nigel Hamilton and Gil Grace, along with Todd Barker and Dom Leach.
The unfortunate NAGA winners were the Grandfather and Grandson team of Gary “Swolla” Barnes and Roy Grayling who had a tough day with -11.
This pretty much raps up the season as far as competitions go. There maybe a closing day next weekend, this is yet to be decided. So watch this space for details on that.

Golden Putter Classic - Tomorrow!

The Golden Putter Classic, proudly sponsored by Karingal Contracting, is on tomorrow, Sunday 23rd August. Assembly at 9 am for a 9.30 am hit-off.

With only a week or so to go before we put the mowers away for the year, it might be your last chance to get out for a hit and enjoy the course while the grass is still looking good! It's also our last honour board event for the season and your final chance to get your name up on the board for 2026!

Hope to see plenty there for a great day of golf - and the weather forecast is looking spot on!

With the Ouyen footy final locked in for Saturday we can now lock in the Golden Putter classic for Sunday the 23rd!!
The last major event of the season, 4bbb own partners.
9am assembly for a 9.30 start.

OUYEN GOLF CLUB

Golden Putter Postponed!

Unfortunately, due to the forecast for Sunday, we've decided to postpone the Golden Putter Classic. 27 holes is daunting enough without the added challenge of bad weather!

We're planning to play it on either Saturday 22nd or Sunday 23rd August, depending on the footy finals. We'll confirm the new date as soon as we know.

There will be no competition at Ouyen this weekend, but Reg has mowed the course, so it's ready to go for anyone keen to get out for a hit.

Thanks everyone, and hopefully we get some better weather in a fortnight!
