2027 A-GRADE FOOTBALL COACH: ANDREW WRIGHT

The Southern Flinders Football Club are excited to announce the signing of Andrew Wright as the 2027 A-Grade Coach.

Andrew has an extensive career as both coach & player. He brings a combination of playing/teaching experience, tactical analysis and player development to coaching. He is a versatile and experienced footballer with over a decade of senior and junior football experience across metropolitan and country leagues in South Australia. He has represented SA Country against WA Country and has multiple seasons as Captain / Vice-Captain.

Andrew has been a Development Coach & player for Kilburn Football Club; Under 17 Coach & Opposition Analyst and Senior Team Captain at Gawler Central Football Club; Assistant Coach alongside playing responsibilities for Angle Vale Football Club; played for Proprietary/Risdon and represented the region at Country Championships, including multiple Country Championships Team of the Championship selections. He has coached School Football and was Founder/Coach of the Port Pirie Football Club Women’s Football.

Andrew is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the club with strong leadership, clear communication and a positive, team-first approach to the role and is committed to our Club values wanting to help create a strong connection between the senior playing group, coaches, volunteers, committee, junior program and wider Southern Flinders community.

Congratulations to our footballers and netballers that have made it to the finals series for 2026! We can’t wait to cheer you on this coming Sunday in Wirrabara.

While Wirrabara are hosting on their grounds, this is a Southern Flinders final so please do your bit to help out on the day. Our club is run by many volunteers and we thank all of you for your time and effort not only on the day but in the lead up as well.

Make sure you’re wearing your black and yellow PROUD and cheer LOUD for our Tigers.

Congratulations to our President Nathan May on his 150th senior game Saturday.

Nathan gives his all every week, bringing strength, reliability and consistency to the team. His strong skills and dependable approach provide both stability and confidence on the field.

A true clubman, Nathan is an excellent role model and leads by example. His dedication extends well beyond game day, with countless hours invested in our club.

🐯 MORGAN WALLIS - 100 games 🐯
Congratulations to Morgan who plays her 100th game tomorrow.
Morgan first played for us in 2012 and 13 before having a few years off and returning to the club in 2023. Morgan is an asset in what ever team or position she plays with her height and endless enthusiasm. Always willing to go above and beyond for her team and the club, putting her hand up to help out how ever she can.

Congratulations to Immy who plays her 50th senior game for the Tigers this Saturday (and also celebrates her 18th on Sunday 🎂)

Immy first featured in our senior netball teams in 2022. Before becoming a permanent member for the last 3 seasons. Immy has many accolades from her years playing juniors and we look foward to many in the seniors in the years to come.
