If you’re nailing it all day and then finding yourself in the pantry at 9pm… this one’s for you gf!!⁣

I KNOW how frustrating it is when you feel like you’re doing everythinggggg right and then it all falls apart at night. ⁣

HOWEVER, I have put together some key things for you to implement that will make it easier!⁣

The biggest one? Not eating enough during the day. Low calorie diets DO NOT fix night time overeating…. they basically cause it. (Mic drop!) ⁣

Pizza for dinner tonight! 🍕

Friday and Saturday dinners in our house are usually the simple things cuz I cbf cooking anything that’s too much effort haha . Think pizzas, burgers….

Despite what the fitness industry loves to tell you, you do NOT need to live on chicken & broccoli to lose weight. 😆

One of the biggest mindset shifts my clients make is realising that fat loss isn’t about eating “perfectly”. It’s about learning how to make your favourite foods fit into your life without the guilt, the restriction or the “I’ll start again Monday” cycle.

So yes…

🍕 You can eat pizza.
🍕 You can enjoy weekends.
🍕 You can still make progress.

The goal isn’t to eat like you’re on a diet forever.

The goal is to build habits you can actually stick to ❤️

Contrary to the million ‘diets’ you’ve probably fell victim to over the last few years…well..probably decades.. you CAN have a life AND hit your weight loss goals…⁣

You actually can eat out, miss some workouts, have takeaway, (especially Grill’d), have cocktails on holiday, eat choc without spiralling and starting again Monday AND still be a great mama without losing yourself in the process!!⁣

We have spent farrrrr too much time being bloody miserable on diets so it is no wonder that they all ‘fail’. (Notice I blamed the diets, not you gf!!) ⁣

Honestly, if any ‘diet’ is going to work for you, it HAS to fit in your life and NOT work against it. What is the point of even trying if you’re going to end up miserable, isolated and obsessed along the way? ⁣

The women who get results ANDDD actually maintain aren’t those doing extreme plans. They are ones who learn about BALANCE, they stop quitting after one bump in the road and commit to learning and making a lifestyle change. ⁣

Your fitness journey should add to your life, not becomeeee your entire life. (We aren’t in our 20’s anymore, it used to be the centre of mine!!) ⁣

These are the top 2 reasons why I see women fail their diets over and over and over and over again…..👀

Most women blame themselves, their motivation, their willpower…their lack of discipline…but after coaching hundreds of women over the years, I keep seeing the same 2 mistakes happening again and again and almost every single phone call I have with potential clients has the same narrative. (Me included gf, hence WHY I am so passionate about this!!)

Until you fix these 2 things I mention in the video, you sill stay stuck in that vicious cycle of start diet, lose weight, ‘fall off the wagon’, regain the lost weight (plus more) and then start fresh next Monday!

THISSS is my WHY. For getting women out of this cycle that we have all been stuck in our whole bloody life. I preach balance, flexibility and building habits that actually last literally FOREVER!

Because…. If your plan only works for 8 weeks. Don’t bother doing it at all. *Mic Drop* 🎤

Weekly Check-In (Week 8) ⁣

Week 8 Check-In (2 weeks into a deficit!) ⁣

- Got 4/4 weight sessions done ✅ ⁣
- Averaged just over 7k steps ✅ ⁣
- Spot on cals & protein apart from 1 lower day when both kiddies were sick! ⁣
- Sleep has been atrocious, averaging 4-5 hours 🥲 ⁣
- Menstrual phase of my cycle ⁣
- My low last week was 124.5 and this week was 124.4 ⁣

Over-all had a great week, was spot on cals and protein apart from that slightly lower day. Energy in training was up and down due to sleep but pushed through and got everything done! I was actually surprised my weight was even 100g down this week as I normally rise 1-3kgs when I have my period, so didn’t expect any drop this week. My weight also would have spiked today as I had a fropro pizza last night and the high fibre content always makes me bloat and spike on the scales too! Also lack of sleep…and I started taking creatine. (See, lots of reasons why the scale fluctuates!!!!) ⁣

So - no changes this week! I would have dropped on the scales this week but it won’t show for a few days until my cycle is over. ⁣

Things I want to improve on this week: ⁣
- more fruit & veg ⁣
- 8000 steps a day if sleep/energy allows ⁣
- More ab work 🤪⁣
- More fu***ng sleep! 🤪🤪😆 like it’s up to me hahahaha. ⁣

Total loss so far: 2.4 kgs ⁣

If there is one big lesson I have learned over the last 10 years, it is that your fitness journey should not feel like punishment.⁣

You do not need to hate yourself fit. Listen to me, because I did it out of hate the first time.⁣

This shoot was after having Theo and I thought I better practise what I preachhhhh and do the shoot now, not wait until the “end”.⁣

We have been convinced that confidence is waiting at some magic number on the scales. That once we lose the weight, we will suddenly feel worthy, happy and confident.⁣

But I hit that “goal weight” once before, around 62kgs, and honestly? I was more miserable and critical of my body than ever.⁣

So PSA: you do not need to hate yourself into changing.⁣

You are allowed to want to lose fat, feel fitter and stronger, feel more confident and love your clothes again… without spending every day hating yourself in the mirror.⁣

I know what it feels like to put your life on pause and wait until you are “worthy” enough to be in photos, wear nice clothes and feel accepted.⁣

But confidence is not something waiting for you at the finish line.⁣

If you truly want to make change that lasts, you need to work on your self talk and mindset just as much as your physical self.⁣

You can work on getting your mojo back while also learning to speak kindly to yourself. You can make progress while also knowing you are worthy NOW. You deserve to feel present in your life NOW, not only when you lose 10kgs.⁣

This is exactly the philosophy I take inside my coaching too. We focus on realistic habits, support, accountability, positive self talk and creating change without punishment. No starting over every Monday and no hating yourself into change.⁣

One of the BIGGEST mistakes I see women make on their fitness journey is letting one random scale fluctuation convince them they’re failing…. ⁣

No judgement gf, I have had many meltdowns myself in the past, I’d spiral and then think…. ⁣
❌ “What’s the point?”⁣
❌ “I’ve ruined everything.”⁣
❌ “I knew I couldn’t do this.”⁣

Until…I learned that the scale weight fluctuates for SOOOO many different reasons. Your period, ovulation, stress, sleep, salt, carbs, if you’ve gone to the toilet, eaten a bigger dinner etc etc…⁣

This is why you MUST track more than just the scale. It is ONE piece of data to look at. With my clients, we combine scale weight (well not all, some don’t even weigh themselves!) with progress photos, measurements, energy, strength, clothes, strength….then we look at it OVER-ALL and judge how much progress they are making. ⁣

After all, we are NOT on this journey to be a certain number if you dig deep. We are on this journey to FEEL good, to have more energy, to feel good in our clothes…⁣
