Ormeau Touch Association

It’s with mixed emotions that we finally close down our ormeau touch for good. For those that know Quinn and I and our band of beautiful helpers this has been our baby for 3 years. We have worked tirelessly to grow this club but with certain ‘missing’ items it proved to be challenging.

We now move on to bigger things which will allow us to service all our communities from Beenleigh/Yatala down to coomera, with the start of our amalgamated affiliates Ormeau and Coomera. We have a new name, new comp and a new management team that are committed to building an awesome club who values our current ormeau values, family, community and our kids x

We want to thank all our supporters over the years and love that a large number of you have followed us to our new club. We are so proud of this community and all that they have given us.

We look forward to building NGCT with the same pride, love of our community and of course our beautiful families.

See you all at NGCT, northern Gold Coast touch, remember it’s not too late to join up for the upcoming season 😁🙏🏻

So proud of our local boys! Great to see our area getting stronger and stronger in touch football! Well done to everyone involved

QLD State Touch Trials

Over the weekend four of our Touch students competed at the QLD STATE trials, representing South Coast 15Yrs Boys Team.

The players were playing in their representative South Coast team but were individually trying to make the Queensland State Team.

The results are as follows:

Round Games - South Coast defeated Sunshine Coast, Met North & Capricornia

Semi Final – South Coast 11 d Met East 7
Final – South Coast 12 d Rockhampton Region 11

All four players did an amazing job representing Ormeau Woods SHS and our South Coast region. After the South Coast team not only won the 15 Boys Competition, Jai Charlton and Haydon Wright made the QUEENSLAND 15 BOYS TEAM!!!!!

What a fantastic effort from all four players and a massive congratulations to Jai and Haydon.
