We have a few visitors and special events coming up next week - the Vets are visiting on 7 September, Tradies' Day is happening on 11 September and the Left Handed Golfers Association members are visiting on 13 September. As a result, the course will be closed from 9:30 on those days until about 2pm on the Monday and Sunday and 3pm on the Friday.

Congratulations to our ladies who travelled to Llanherne today for the SCGA Championships. It was a beautiful day, the course was in great condition, with fast fairways and greens, and there was some very low scores.

The Club had a very successful day, with Pen Evetts winning Div 1 best nett (84-21-63), Carol Castle Div 2 best nett (94-32-62) and Ros Weeding Div 3 best gross (100). Pen Evetts, Vicki Lucas and Ros Weeding won the teams event, while Carol Castle was overall nett runner-up.

We also had a number of players picking up prizes down the line:
Div 2 - Vicki Lucas 3rd nett, Chris Bishop BDL
Div 3 - Margie Burridge 3rd nett, Lou Stalker 4th nett
Veterans - Pen Evetts 3rd nett, Ros Weeding 4th nett

Here it is - the Clubhouse Putt, raw and uncut. Hopefully our award nominated Director comes out of hiding before next week’s episode is due!

Today is a day that at least one of our members will be talking about for a long time (even if you don’t ask her 😀).

Jenny Walker came away with her first ever hole in one (on the 16th), while Margie Burridge was only a few centimetres away from getting her own ace on the 2nd/11th.
