Christmas - done, New Year - done, now it's time to get back to training. Our Nepean Martial Arts year starts TODAY, so come and join us for fun times on the mat, and catch up with your NMA buddies. Our timetable hasn't changed (see below) and we'd love to see you to start the new term.

TUESDAY NIGHTS:
- Kids' class - 5:30 to 6:30 pm
- Blackbelt class - 6:30 to 8 pm
THURSDAY NIGHTS:
- Kids' class - 5:30 to 6:30 pm
- Family class - 6:30 to 7:30 pm
- Liu He Ba Fa class - 7:30 to 8:30 pm

Well, it's time to iron your dobok (taekwondo uniform), find your tee (taekwondo belt), and get to the dojang (taekwondo training centre) to begin training for term 3. Master Dave and Master Sue are off having an epic adventure but Master Eric, and Instructors Carrisse and Megan will make sure you have a great term of taekwondo and Liu He Ba Fa training. It's Taekwondo grading weekend already for term 2. (Where did the term go??)
TAEKWONDO gradings will be held on Sunday, June 29 at our usual training venue (The Orchard Hills Masonic Centre, 290 Homestead Road, Orchard Hills).
Grading times for each Taekwondo belt students:
* All coloured belts from 9:30 am
* All Dan and Dan stripe gradings from11:00 am
Please make sure you are at the grading venue at least 15 minutes before your scheduled grading, and that your grading form and payment have been handed in. You should wear your formal Taekwondo Uniform (white pants and top, and your current belt). If you are sparring as part of your grading, please bring whatever sparring gear you have. We will also have a supply of gear available for your use.
If you have any problems or questions, please contact us as soon as possible.

LIU HE BAFA gradings will be held in class from 7:30 pm on Thursday evening, July 2.

Good luck to all of you. You've trained hard for this, so enjoy the grading.

We hope you've all enjoyed your break over the Easter and Anzac breaks, and you're ready to leap into Term 2 for 2025. Classes resume from tomorrow, April 29. The class schedule is unchanged for this term:

TUESDAYS

6:30 to 7:30 pm Taekwondo Blackbelt Class
7:30 to 8:30 pm Haidong Gumdo Family Class

THURSDAYS
5:30 to 6:30 pm Taekwondo Kids Class

7:30 to 8:30 pm Liu He Ba Fa Family Class

And just like that, 2025 is here and it's time to kick back into Taekwondo, cut into Haidong Gumdo, and zen into Liu He Ba Fa!
Classes will resume next Tuesday, February 11 and Thursday February 13.
Class times haven't changed:

NMA will be hosting the Term 4 Taekwondo Seminar & Tournament this Sunday, November 17, at our usual training venue (290 Homestead Road, Orchard Hills). If you haven't booked your place at this fun event, contact us now or speak to your instructor or Master Dave on Thursday night. There will be competition in patterns, sparring and board breaking, and ribbons will be awarded for each event.
Here's a rundown of the program:
9:00 am: Participant registration
9:30 am: Competition Start
2:00 pm: Competition Close
Here's a list of the events on offer:
- Taekwondo Point Sparring (contestants re-set after each point)
- Taekwondo Patterns (Your choice of pattern performed on your own, in Pairs or Teams, and Fixed time patterns)
- Weapons and Self-defence
- Board-breaking
COST: $30
EQUIPMENT: If you have protective equipment (chest guard, head guard, leg and arm guards) please bring them along. We will also have protective gear available to borrow.
WEAR: Your formal Taekwondo uniform
BRING: Plenty of food and water

Our term 3 taekwondo grading day is TODAY!
Gradings held at the Orchard Hills Masonic Centre, 290 Homestead Rd, Orchard Hills.
- 9.30 am all coloured belt gradings
- 11.00 am all Dan and Dan stripe gradings
Please wear your formal taekwondo uniform, bring a drink and any taekwondo protective equipment gear you have. We will have protective equipment gear for you to borrow too.

Our All Schools contestants had a great day out and came home with a swag of medals. Congratulations to Archie, Jacinta, Angus and Jared. You did us proud!! And a big thank you to the families who supported our team. You made it a wonderful day.

It's been a while since we participated in a Taekwondo Tournament but today we're in North Sydney with a keen group of our students. This is the Wylie TKD'S 30th tournament! Good luck to our young competitors and a big thank you to their families.

Welcome back to Nepean Martial Arts for Term 2, 2024. The temperature is cooler, the night's arrive earlier and autumn is definitely in the air. We're operating our normal timetable again this term dust off your uniforms and join us.

TAEKWONDO (unarmed Korean martial art):
Tuesday 5:30 to 6:30 Junior class for kids
Tuesday 6:30 to 7:30 Blackbelt class for advanced students

Thursday 5:30 to 6:30 Junior class for kids
Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 Family class for kids & adults

HAIDONG GUMDO (Korean Sword martial art):
Tuesday 7:30 to 8:30 Family class for all levels

LIU HE BA FA (Blend of Tai Chi and Kung Fu):
Thursday 7:30 to 8:30 Family class

It's TAEKWONDO GRADING TIME again. Our first grading session for 2024 is on tomorrow. Please remember that Daylight Saving finishes at 3 AM tomorrow morning so adjust your clocks, watches etc tonight!
Here are the details:
WHERE: Orchard Hills Masonic Centre, 290 Homestead Road, Orchard Hills.
WHEN: Sunday, April 7 from 9:30 am
9:30 AM All Coloured belts
11:00 AM Black Belt Candidates and Black Belt Stripe
WEAR: Your formal Taekwondo uniform - White Pants, TKD top and belt.
BRING: A bottle of water, a snack, if you have any sparring gear bring it with you.

Nepean Martial Arts is gearing up for a fantastic term 1 for 2024. We will be back on the mat from Tuesday, February 6 so put the date on your calendar and join us for a fabulous term of martial arts.
