Waygara Petting Farm

Waygara Petting Farm We're a mobile Petting Farm, fun for kids and kids@heart alike! We are a family-run business based on a property near Orbost, East Gippsland, Victoria.

To give you an idea of our location if you’re unfamiliar with Orbost, we’re about half an hour from Lakes Entrance, or an hour from Bairnsdale. We're available to do Petting Farms and Pony Rides across East and Central Gippsland. We do not currently have a Petting Farm or Pony Ride set up on our property, but if we discover enough interest, we are hoping to set one up. If you'd be interested in a

come-to-the-farm style Petting Farm or Rides, where you can come calling instead of having the animals visit you, let us know! We've got all sorts of animals here at Waygara; big(ish) and small. Check out our website for Petting Farm animal profiles. Our menagerie includes: Mini ponies, Angora goats, milking goats, cross-bred (pet) goats, alpacas, Damara sheep, fleece sheep, calves, Saddleback piglets, farm/guard dogs, poodles, ducks, guinea fowl, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. You can see the animals’ individual breed pages on our parent site, Waygara.com. At Waygara.com, some of the larger animals, like goats, have pages of their own! Most of these animals produce babies, understandably, and we can’t keep them all, understandably! So if you are looking for goat kids, guinea pig babies, poodle puppies or one of the other above-mentioned creatures, email us to see what we've got. We have been breeding most of these animals for some time, so we bring a heap of experience with us to our Petting Farm excursions. If you’re after a Petting Farm, educational experience or Pony Ride at your place, or for an event you are organizing, contact us for an obligation-free quote. Feel free contact us about any questions you have or suggestions you’d like to make, too. Thanks heaps for visiting! The Waygara Petting Farm Team

PS We are fully insured, including the Pony Rides and Goat Jinker :)

Hi everyone! We've been getting a few enquiries so thought it would be worth an update.
We closed our petting farm business in 2018 due to family commitments, and don't know if we will resume again at this stage.
The nearest petting farms we know of are Jindi Farm and Barn babies, both in south Gippsland.
We are still breeding our goats, sheep, Guinea pigs and poultry for our personal use and to sell. For sales head over to fb.me/WaygaraLAPS for sales.

We have done limited tours and goat visits over the last few years however, and hope to expand these in the next year. When we are ready to update plans, check Waygara Farm Tours, or as always, send us a message.

Thanks again for all the support over the years! Very grateful for our community.
Cheers!
Carrie, and the rest of the team

Hello Friends!
It has been lovely to have served you and so many others over the 6 years that we have been operating our Petting Farms, Goat Cart Rides, Miniature Pony Rides, Goat Milking Demonstrations, Farm Tours, etc.
However, after much discussion, and with much sadness, we are hereby announcing that we will no longer be offering these services. Our family circumstances have changed over the years and of late the requisite commitment to operate these ventures has moved on to other things.

Firstly, Ruth and I would like to thank our many staff for their enthusiasm, expertise and support over the years.
Secondly, we'd like to thank you, our faithful customers, who have expressed so much appreciation for our offerings. Thanks for the many who opened their homes and lives to share the adventure with us.

We have fielded many enquiries of late regarding other providers who may fill the void we leave. Unfortunately we haven't been able to give much direction in this regard. So please feel free to leave a comment regarding other providers of similar services whom you would recommend.

Meanwhile, stay tuned for further announcements of other ventures we may offer further down the track.

Thanks again, and all the best for your future animal adventures! :)
