IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM STATE MEMBER FOR ORANGE PHIL DONATO:

Phil Donato would like to invite members of your organisation to attend the inaugural Gettin’-A-Grip Men’s Health Week Event 2026, being held at the Orange Ex-Services Club on Saturday, 6 June 2026 from 8:30am.

Gettin’-A-Grip is a fun and engaging community event being held to officially launch Men’s Health Week, while helping encourage important conversations around men’s physical and mental health, wellbeing, connection and support.

The morning will feature amateur arm-wrestling matches coordinated by the Australian Arm-Wrestling Federation, special guest and MC Barry Du Bois, guest speakers, local organisations, health information sessions, practical support services, and plenty of opportunities for community connection in a relaxed and approachable environment.

A fantastic line-up of sporting, community and political identities will be involved throughout the morning, alongside organisations and advocates passionate about improving men’s health outcomes across our communities.

Importantly, this event is not about competition — it is about bringing people together, encouraging conversation, reducing stigma, and reminding people that looking after their health matters.

Brunch and refreshments will be provided, and the event is free for all to attend – men and women all welcome.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, 6 June 2026
Time: 8:30am
Venue: Orange Ex-Services Club, Anson St, Orange NSW

Important information from Cricket NSW:

CNSW/PlayHQ are now open for business for Summer 2026/27, which covers all programs and competitions commencing between 1 September 2026 and 31 March 2027 — Associations will need set themselves up first and then invite their clubs on PlayHQ for the upcoming 2026/27 season!

There are a few key updates to be across heading into Summer 2026/27.

1. Cricket Blast fees have increased by $10 to a total of $76 in inherited fees (CA $51 + $10 increase; CNSW $25 unchanged), reflecting rising costs in freight, logistics and products.

2. Importantly, a new national and state fee refund policy takes effect from 20 March 2026 — these fees are non-refundable, and a clear statement to this effect will appear on all registration forms. Only the club portion of fees is refundable, which clubs are to manage directly.

3. National Registration Fees remain unchanged for season 2026/27.

4. To help with setup, PlayHQ support checklists for Associations and Clubs on how to configure competitions and registrations are available on the CNSW - Open for Business webpage.

5. And don't forget the competitions on offer this season — clubs that open registrations for Cricket Blast and/or Junior Cricket by 10 May will go in the draw to win a share of a $3,000 prize pool, while participants who register by 31 May for Cricket Blast, Junior Cricket or Senior Cricket will have the chance to win one of 20 x $100 Kingsgrove Sports vouchers.

Full competition details can be found on the CNSW - Open for Business webpage, where plenty of additional resources are also available for stakeholders. If support is needed on any of the above, don't hesitate to loop in [email protected]

Minimum Ask for Clubs

Set up registrations by 10 May (CNSW commences marketing from w/c 4 May).

If volunteers are concerned about workload, you can set up autoresponders and add a notice to your websites/rego forms flagging limited availability until a set date.

Ensure you put the relevant info on your club websites so members can self-serve.
