Orange parkrun

Orange parkrun Orange parkrun is a free, timed 5k run and walk put on by the community for the community. parkrun is for all ages and abilities. From beginners to Olympians.

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Orange parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together

irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Rain, what rain?? 🌧️ 😉 Today's awesome Orange parkrun vollies crew not only did the job, they arrived EARLY to set up in the wet weather. Massive thanks go to Amy, Chloey, Chris, Deanna, Edgar, Gary, Georgia, Lizzy, Michael, Phillip, Sue, Toni and Wendy, as well as our last minute token sorting helpers!

127 of you joined us today including lots of visitors to Orange. 🧡 And we had a fabulous first place finish from Thomas, not slowed down at all by a few raindrops! 🏃 🏁

The volunteer roster is looking fabulous for the next two weeks, what a great start to winter! If you can help out on July 11th, 18th or 25th, or later, please let us know. 🦺🙏

Another great turnout for Orange parkrun, with 237 runners and walkers joining us today at Gosling Creek Reserve, including visitors from SA, Canberra and Sydney. A massive thank you goes to our volunteers including our young last minute volunteer helpers: Amy, Ann, Bill, David, Fiona, Jane, Jim, John, Julie, Peter, Pinar, Ryan and Sue.

Huge congrats and much appreciation for our very dedicated volunteer Jessie Burrows, celebrating her 50th volunteer role today at Orange parkrun. Somehow, along with all that helping, she's also managed to complete 236 parkruns all around Australia. Thank you, Jessie!! 🦺 🙏

And thanks to Ellie and Olivia from Orange City Council - Wiradjuri Country for coming along to share the latest on the changes at Brabham Park and get feedback from our crowd. 230 parkrunners from near and far joined us this morning for Orange parkrun #440. The sun came out just in time, leading to a record use of the Wendy-Dibble-memorial clothing cart! 🌞 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽🚶🏼🚶🏾‍♀️

A special welcome goes to our several first timers today, as well as a few of you here for your second parkrun. We hope you enjoyed it and can't wait to see you back again!
