Winter sports are coming to an end... so what's next?

As one season finishes, it's the perfect time to start a new journey on the mat 🌟πŸ₯‹

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do Benefit Tournament at the Sydney Uni Sports Centre.
What a fantastic tournament and so professionally run, it was a great day of Martial Arts people competing together.

We had Cassandra andAshlee competing and what a fantastic day of sportsmanship, skill and new experiences gained by both girls.

Cassandra in her first Jin Sei Ryu tournament did an amazing effort showing skill and determination through the day of competition. Cassandra's efforts in class and training schedules 3 days a week are showing in her results on and off the mat.
Ashlee in her second Jin Sei Ryu tournament met up with some old friends, competitors and even an old training partner.
Ashlee stepping up to the womens Full Contact division and fighting and older and more experienced fight, while holding her own and never giving up earnt the respect from everyone at the tournament. She showed what Martial arts is about pushing limits and over coming adverserty.
It was so good to see our girls and friends laugh, share stories then compete to a high standard then come off the mat laugh and even encourage each other when competing against other competitors.
Thank you Kancho Ino Maquirang for your warm welcome and invitation to your tournament πŸ™
Well done girls keep up the great work!

Grading day is more than belts, certificates and techniques on display - it's a snapshot of growth and discipline.

Students step into the dojang carrying nerves, determination, and months of hard work. They leave having shown courage, focus and respect.

Every kick, stance, and pattern tells a story - not of perfection but of progress. And behind each and every student is the quiet support of instructors, training partners, and families who helped get them there.

We are proud of every student who tested today. Keep improving and keep showing up. The next level is already waiting πŸ₯‹

Competing is not always easy. It means facing nerves, uncertainty, pressure and pushing yourself outside your comfort zone.

Today we had Ashlee and Cassandra represent our dojang at the Matsushima Kyokushin NSW StateChampionships πŸ₯‹

Both students showed up, gave their best and should be very proud. Growth begins where comfort ends, and today you showed courage, resilience and true martial arts spirit.

Thank you for supporting one another and showing respect throughout the day.

Keep growing, keep learning and keep stepping
forward πŸ‘

Thank you parents, supporters and Kancho Doug Turnball for your guidance today ⭐️

Martial arts isn't just physical- it shapes character, strength and resilience.
Every time you try something hard, stretch a little further, or face your fear head on, that's where growth begins πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’₯
