With the joint efforts of Nepalese FC Orange and Nepalese cricket club Orange NCCO, we are proud to announce that AUD $10,432.00 has been sent to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, Nepal 🙏🇳🇵

FULL-TIME A MATCH FOR NEPAL🇳🇵🇳🇵

Nepalese FC Orange 0-0 Orange Waratahs Senior Football Club B Grade

Yesterday’s match was about much more than the scoreline. It was a match played with Nepal in our hearts 💕

Before the opening whistle, players, families and coaches from Waratah and other ODFA teams came over to ask how things were going in Nepal and to show their concern for those affected by the devastating floods. ❤️🙏 It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot to our community & Players.

Before kick-off, both teams and the referee stood together for a moment of silence to remember the victims of the Nepal floods 🥹❤️🤝🇳🇵

Then came the football. From the very beginning, NFCO boys applied pressure and played with great energy and determination. Despite having limited numbers and no ODFA substitutes available, every player gave everything they had right through to the final whistle 🔥💪

Waratah are always one of the toughest teams to face, particularly with their dangerous corner kicks and set pieces. But our boys stood strong, defended bravely and did not allow their corners to find the back of the net 🥅🗻⚽

After 90 minutes, the result was: 0 -0

A clean sheet, a performance full of heart, unity and resilience 🤝⚽️🇳🇵🇦🇺🌏

Thank you to Waratah 🙏🥅⚽️ all ODFA teams, players, families, coaches and officials for your kindness and support toward Nepal.

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating floods and the suffering faced by families and communities across Nepal. At a time when many of our people back home are struggling with loss, uncertainty, and the urgent need for support, we cannot stand by and do nothing.

In this difficult moment, Nepalese Cricket Club Orange (NCCO) and Nepalese FC Orange are coming together as one community to raise funds for flood relief in Nepal.

Sport has always brought us together, and today, we are using that unity for something even more meaningful: to support our brothers, sisters, families, and communities back home.

The coach of the Nepalese Football Club in Orange says he's heartbroken to see the devastating flash floods in Nepal wipe out villages he worked in after the 2015 earthquake.

The natural disaster has killed hundreds of people in the region bordering Tibet, while more than 1,000 people are missing.

Bishesh GC worked as a reconstruction engineer in the district to make buildings more resilient following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake more than a decade ago.

"That place is pretty close to my heart," he said.

"I used to walk to those places, I used to stay in those places, and to see the videos of those places just wiped out - it's really heartbreaking."

He said his sport club was partnering with the Nepalese Cricket Club in Orange to raise money for the relief efforts.

"We are trying to liaise with other sporting groups in Orange to try to collect as much funds as possible," he said.

"So that we can help the ones who have lost loved ones and have gone through a massive tragedy."
