Knowing the serving size, the difference between reduced and low fat, and understanding what zero and “free” means are something you should definitely be aware of. It’s important to remind yourself of the “why” as well as the “what” any time you’re setting a new goal, breaking a habit, or making a change in your life. Your WHY is one of THE most important things that’ll keep you going when the excuses or hesitations rear their head. Think about one goal that is really important to you right now. Write down your "WHY" for reaching that goal. If you can't come up with at least one really great answer, create another goal!

Another great way to get your greens in, is to DRINK instead of eat them! Try a “green lemonade” juice to switch things up. It will give you a huge boost of energy and keep your blood sugar levels balanced. You don’t even need a juicer, just a blender. Here’s an awesome recipe to try:

Try not to take the number on the scale too seriously. Instead, focus on how your clothes are fitting and by tracking your measurements. Your weight can fluctuate 2 or more kg in a day, so the number on the scale simply isn't the be all and end all to your health and fitness success.

Want to know a great way to help with portion control and make yourself eat more slowly?! Try cutting your food into smaller pieces! You’ll feel like you’re actually eating more food and it will slow you down as you eat. Any time I go out for sushi, I ask the chef to cut it into smaller pieces than they normally do. Give this a try at home or out to eat and you’ll see a noticeable difference.

High Quality H20! Water doesn’t have to be ordinary. Try filling a bottle with water and add your favourite fruit like lemon or strawberries It can add a wonderful flavour to your water and make drinking a lot more fun. Drink it slightly cool instead of cold and it will go down easier. What’s your favourite fruit that you like to add to your water?
