🔥 ASBK Round 2 – Sydney Motorsport Park 🔥

Dave Coward from David Coward Racing is about to roll out for FP1 at the iconic Sydney Motorsport Park for Round 2 of the Australian Superbike Championship.
The bike is fired up, the team is ready, and Dave is keen to get the weekend underway and see what pace we’ve got around SMP. It’s always a fast and challenging track, but we’re looking forward to building speed as the sessions roll on.

A massive thank you to all the supporters backing Dave and the team — we appreciate every bit of support and we’ll keep everyone updated throughout the weekend.

🔥 Bittersweet weekend at Round 1 of the Australian Superbike Championship 🔥

Qualifying showed real promise, with Dave delivering a mega last lap to lock in P6 on the grid — the pace was there from the start. 💪

Race 1 threw up a stacked field and a tough launch off the line, which saw us shuffled back to P13. Not the start we wanted, but valuable points in the bag.

Race 2 was a different story — far more dominant. Dave ran strong with the front group and set the 2nd fastest lap of the race before a small off at MG cut the charge short. The speed is undeniable. ⚡

Then came the all-or-nothing final race…
After the red flag, the boys had just 5 minutes to decide on wets or slicks — and get them fitted to the bike. With only a light sprinkle falling, the call was made to trust Dave in the tricky conditions. He charged forward to P4, but as the track evolved the slicks reached their limit, and unfortunately Dave went down at Turn 11.

Not the ending we wanted — but plenty of positives to take away.

👉 One thing is certain: we will come back faster, more confident, and more determined at Round 2 at Sydney Motorsport Park.

🔥 2nd fastest lap of Race 2 — but not the result we were chasing.

The front pack was incredibly tight, and Dave Coward was pushing hard into MG when traffic caught him out and he unfortunately lost the front.

Eyes forward now 👀 — onto Race 3 tomorrow, and we’re determined to come back stronger and chase the result we know is possible.

Time to put in the work tonight and come out swinging for that podium tomorrow 🏆💪

🚀🔥 THIS KID IS FLYING — and he’s doing it on old tyres for practise 🔥🚀

Dave Coward is turning heads at Phillip Island in the ASBK opener, putting in seriously impressive pace while running on used rubber. In a class where every fraction counts, the #60 is proving that determination and raw speed still matter.
Rolling into the weekend with confidence Dave is right in the fight against some of the country’s best. The Supersport 300 field is stacked, but the Tassie charger isn’t taking a backwards step.
Old tyres. Big heart. Maximum send. 💪

🚨🔥 Phillip Island is about to feel the Tassie thunder!🔥🚨

The stage is set at the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit as the Australian Superbike Championship explodes into life alongside the Superbike World Championship — and all eyes are on Tasmania’s own Dave Coward.

After a massive build-up and strong form coming into the season opener, Dave rolls into Phillip Island with momentum and belief. The Supersport 300 class is always a freight train, where tenths separate the field and anything can happen — but the pace is there and the hunger is real.

Tasmanian road racing fans know how rare podium moments at the national level can be… so the question is 🔥

Will Dave Coward be the first Tasmanian in a long time to put Tassie back on the ASBK podium?

One thing’s certain — he won’t die wondering. Expect elbows out, head down, and maximum attack from the #60 as he takes on the best in the country at one of the fastest circuits in the world.
