THEFT #2 - following the theft of one net, a net winder and a handle on Wed June 11th (11.57hrs) we have now had another unlawful entry to the courts on Tuesday June 17th (01.35hrs) and have had a further net stolen, plus another net ripped / cut off from the net wire and taken, either just for malicious damage or who knows what.
We have not located the nets unfortunately.
Someone in the community will know who is out and about in the middle of the night in such cold weather. Police are involved and we urge you to come forward with any information that may help.
For those with active video surveillance systems in the Old Bar area, please check for any events / movement at those times.
We are now being forced to take added security measures because of the actions of 2-3 unwelcome individuals, and in the meantime, we are leaving the LED court lights on so we can effectively monitor our facility.
Whilst the lights are being left on, we thank you for your understanding and patience.
We are run by a small handful of volunteers who completely self-manage, govern and maintain the Tennis Club, funded solely by members and visitors, for the benefit of young and old in this beautiful community, and we get repaid like this β we do not need this type of individual in Old Bar.
Please share this as neededβ¦..
