Ok!

Enough is enough.

Yes there is a war going on.

Yes oil is in short supply…..

But not olive oil, our only approved wrestling juice.

There has been a number of instances of ‘dry wrestling’ and you guessed it the rashes are back.

More alarmingly we are finding people experimenting with any alternatives they can find in their shed.

This liquid seems to have been supplied by a newer vo**ur member trying to get a little bit extra from their viewing pass.

Any pe*******on is meant to be accidental.

Easing of this should not be encouraged.

The loose nuts jokes are problematic also.

We have had issues with ‘flies eyes’ in the past but our new uniforms have been successful in reducing the instances of escaping bean bags.

One more report to council and we could be shut down for 3 months.

So a reminder, wrestling suits on, approved wrestling juice only.

We have a number of volunteer oil applicators rostered on duty.

Well 2025 has been a tough year for most of the community.

Our club has provided a distraction and an outlet for many.

2025 has one final kick in the wedding vegetable for us all.

🚨 CLUB NOTICE 🚨

Bathing is temporarily closed until the source of the recent rashes has been identified.

We know. Disappointing.

After all that close contact, warmth, and shared enthusiasm, this one hurts.

For now:
• No soaking
• No lingering
• No “just a quick rinse”

Oil wrestling continues as normal — please ensure:
• Mats are wiped down
• Juice is applied responsibly
• Skin checks are conducted before and after prolonged engagement. Sniff tests are encouraged.

We remind members:
• Wrestling suits are mandatory
• If it looks angry, don’t rub it
• And if you woke up itchy and it smells cheesy give it a scrub at home.

Investigations are ongoing.

Fingers have not yet been pointed.

No bears have been blamed (officially).

We appreciate your patience, your understanding,
and your continued commitment to skin on skin contact.

Further updates to come once things calm down
and everyone stops scratching.

🎄 SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM THE OLD BAR GRECO-ROMAN WRESTLING CLUB 🎄

To our favourite followers, grapplers, voyuers, bathers and those who mysteriously “just like the vibe”…

This Christmas, we celebrate what truly brings us together:

• Wrestling juice (apply generously)
• Big energy
• Slippery situations
• And traditions best left unexplained to relatives

• Well oiled
• Warmly embraced
• Slightly chaotic
• And full of unexpected openings

Remember:

• The mats get slicker after dark
• Bears always bring the best hugs

Well as the frustrations of construction continue to build the committee has decided to take some action.

We were awarded a large grant to build the stadium last year.

The good news is we still have some of it left, the bad news is progress on construction has been negligible.

Some unforeseen entertainment and management expenses that the committee have been reimbursed for have left us a little short.

After a positive meeting with our 3rd new builder (not gypsies this time) they just need a small payment to start pe***ng the site layout.

So, over to you members and fans!

These stubby holder sales will help us raise funds to achieve our pe***ng dream.

It is with deep regret that we must announce that the Wrestling Exhibition scheduled for this years Old Bar Beach Festival has had to be cancelled.

Our preparations had been perfect.

- Wresting Gazebo Erected ✅
- Wrestling Juice Dispensers installed ✅
- Bathing area set up ✅
- Restraining orders reviewed ✅

Unfortunately due to an administrative error our permit was denied.

In what seemed a pretty straightforward onboarding questionnaire a seemingly innocent question has caused a sequence of unfortunate events.

Question 134 - Will you have meat or meat products on display?

Response - Possibly

(We answered honestly as the quality of our Temu wrestling suits can not be guaranteed and there have been a few training incidents of flies eyes and in some extreme cases wedding vegetables had escaped)

This led us to having to complete a food handling permit which we totally failed.

What temperature should the meat be?

What preparations are required to serve meat to the public?

Our responses were deemed ‘offensive and immature’

Hoping for better luck in 2026

At least we get to bathe!

It is why we wrestle.

With the Old Bar Festival just around the corner we are in desperate need of volunteers for crowd control.

Due to huge interest in our exhibition and limited room in the Air Conditioned Wrestling Gazebo this will be a ticketed event.

We will be issuing our entry coin tokens before the long weekend.

Unfortunately due to OHS reasons we have to be strict on numbers.

So as I was once told by an old street worker in Kings Cross
