This is exactly what we built the Blast Bait 2.0 FAST SINK range for.

There are plenty of situations where downsizing the lure gets the bite—but around shallow reef, bommies and structure, downsizing your tackle to cast it can come with consequences.

The FAST SINK models pack serious weight into a compact profile, allowing us to fish the smaller presentations we want while still carrying the tackle needed to put pressure on fish from the moment they eat.

Fast Sink Blast Baits weren’t built around a specification sheet.

They were built to solve problems we kept running into on the water.

Small-profile lures often get the bite around shallow reef and heavy structure, but the lighter outfits normally used to cast them can leave you seriously under-gunned once a fish turns for the first bommie or heads straight back into its cave.

The Blast Bait 2.0 FAST SINK models retain the compact profiles, but carry the weight needed to cast from a boat or landbased and fish them properly on heavier outfits.

Tested across shallow-water GT, coral trout, spanish mackerel, red bass and more.

SAME PROFILE. EXPANDED APPLICATION.

The new Blast Bait 2.0 FAST SINK models retain the same proven lengths, profiles, construction and detailed artwork as the existing series—but carry considerably more weight.

FS40 — 90mm / 40g
FS85 — 120mm / 85g

The additional weight was designed to solve two major problems.

First, it allows anglers to fish a compact profile on the heavier outfits required around reef flats, bommies and serious structure.

Second, it provides the casting distance and accuracy needed fishing landbased and when targeting fast-moving or easily spooked pelagics.

And while the faster sink rate is useful in strong current or when accessing deeper water, FAST SINK doesn’t mean it has to be fished deep.

Fish it quickly and it will track just below the surface. Slow it down and work another part of the water column. Add longer pauses and keep the lure in the strike zone when the fish aren’t aggressively chasing on top.

The problem is what happens next.

Around shallow reef, bommies and heavy structure, stepping down in lure size often means stepping down in tackle too. That can leave you badly under-gunned when a GT turns for the first bommie or a trout heads straight back into its cave.

The new Blast Bait 2.0 FAST SINK models keep the same compact profiles, but add the weight needed to cast and fish them properly on heavier outfits.

A HUGE milestone for West Coast Poppers.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that a select range of West Coast Poppers will soon be available at selected specialist Anaconda stores across Australia.

For a small Australian lure brand, partnering with one of the country’s largest outdoor retailers is a huge step forward and an opportunity to introduce West Coast Poppers to more anglers nationwide and allowing the brand to flourish.

The rollout will focus on key topwater fishing regions, giving more anglers the chance to see our lures in the flesh, get them in their hands and then put them to work!

This next stage also allows us to invest further into the brand through greater exposure, improved systems and better support for all of our retail partners, resulting in better access and better products for anglers across the country.
